Johnson is great enough to be our starting 2 guard. He's potential one and done which might be why these top shooting guards are going elsewhere thinking no matter what Pope says the home town kid will get the glory being as good as he is. So I think we could just go get that foreign PG , whats his name that just popped up like 2-3 days ago that looks like he's 15 years old . get him as the backup pg and we're good

4 rbs in 17 minutes aint bad, he gets normal player in traditional system minutes thats 8 rbs . not superb but that isnt bad
I like him but just think we can upgrade/get more quality minutes out of the 5 spot. I'm at peace if he stays or goes.

How will the media penalize UK for this commit? Seem like we’re always dropping in the rankings. Should be preseason top 10 right now and we’re not done yet in getting players.

It's a fantastic roster, but I'm really hoping for one more 40+ percent three point threat. As happened with Brea when our roster was decimated, if you don't have a couple of those on the floor simultaneously, it is not tough for a good defensive coach to demolish your outside game.

Regardless, this guy passes the eye test to be a big time player in the conference, for sure.

We need another PG, or at the very least another guard that is capable of playing Point if needed IMO
With the way our Bigs will be able to handle the ball, Jasper is MORE than adequate to play PG. Heck, he dished out 14 assists in ONE game this season against one of his team's toughest opponents. And Chandler can do it in a pinch.

Not sweating another PG. Now one more 40+% 3 pt shooter would be nice.

Guys , dont get twisted from the highlight vids. ... he's a 32% 3pt shooter. hope he can improve that number but dont expect a great shooter because that would be unfair to the kid when you realize he's not a sharp shooter.

Now what to get excited for is he's more fluid facing the basket and his potential.

Coach Pope has done a GREAT job at improving his players shooting. If he can get this dude up to 37%, that would be more than adequate with his face up skills.

Sweet outside stroke, excellent off-ball movement, sharp crisp cuts? YES!!!
He is a slightly above 30% 3 point shooter. Wouldn't exactly call that a "sweet stroke". he shoots it about like Garrison. Funny how one player has a sweet stroke and the other is terrible, but shoot the same ??? What was his competition level ??? Several different levels over seas. Could be a nice stretch 4 we needed, but he is far from a elite shooter.

1. If BG already almost left earlier this week, and Pope talked him out of it, he would’ve told him another big is coming. If he didn’t bail Wednesday, he’s not bailing Saturday
3. Not same position anyway. Garrison a true 6, this kid is a 4. Same as Carr.

Get Wilkerson or another shooter, let’s role
