If we earn it, i'm sure we'll eventually get there. We have some opporunties in the near future to do so.

Our net is currently 31, so Katz is in the ballpark for sure.

Too low. We’re a top 25 team, IMO

We can be. Issue is our bigs are bad (outside of Matthews if you want to count him as a big) and Jans's ability to coach offense is still up in the air.

I think we're probably top 30 with the caveat that if our guards are hot we can beat anyone.

We are top 20-25 but unfortunately there are probably 10 SEC in the top 35ish. The SEC schedule will be a gauntlet this season.

KenPom has us 27, which is only good for 8th in the SEC if that tells you anything about how difficult SEC play is gonna be, not just for us but for everyone.

We will keep learning some things soon. All of our next four opponents are in the Top 90. Heck, Pitt comes to the Hump in a couple of weeks and they are 15 per KenPom.

yeah extremely frusterating schedule. You're seeing the top tier sec teams go out and play challenging schedules... this 4 game stretchc isnt bad.. but still we should bite off more.

We really wont know who we truly are until 4-6 gamees into sec play

Positive this year is we’re not having to play a bunch of the big dogs twice. Only Bama. Everyone else we play once. I think last year we played Bama, Auburn, and Kentucky twice in the regular season, plus SC who was having a strong year.

18 game sec schedule... 16 teams.

only have to play 3 teams twice as opposed to 5 (i think).. imagine one of ours will always be ole miss.

It can still be questioned, but I'm leaning heavily toward him being a good coach. Great defensively, and good offensively. We always seem to get good looks. Unfortunately last year it was DJ Jeffries, Dashawn Davis, and Shak Moore being the ones open. I loved those guys, but none were what you'd call super great 3pt shooters.

Against SELA the other night, Claudell and Kugel had wideass open looks several times, they were just cold as ice. And no telling how many layups we missed last year. I can't pin all of it on Jans' offensive scheme.

We have bad stretches like all but the best teams do, but I rarely have watched Jans's teams play and felt like they were terrible on offense. Terrible at shooting, yes, but we seem to move the ball decently and get good looks.

That NET ranking is from last year, as they haven't been updated yet for this year, but I'd assume looking at our KenPom and Torvik rankings we'd be somewhere in the 30's.

Yeah I don’t think NET is really worth paying attention to until nonconference play is over. The volatility is going to be high early in the year.

Not directed at anyone in particular, but, we have a team made up of 6 transfers, 3 Freshmen, 6 Sophomores, and we've seen them play 4 games against 3 minimally talented teams and one that seemed to have a pulse. Where do you come up w/ Top 20, Top 25 projections at this point in the season?

kinda where i am. Need to see us play some quality teams, which is why i dislike our schedule... this 4 game stretch isnt bad, but it would be the equal of playing 4 bottom tier sec teams at best... no real step up in class type games... which is frusterating
