Where do you honestly think our program would be if we had AK as our coach this past decade instead of Stansbury? We wouldn't have 2 SEC Tourney championships 1 outright regular season title wouldnve had our SEC West titles and we wouldn't have made tourney

West titles-co champs or not-are pretty weak. The west is usually not very good in basketball.
SEC tourney champs-cool
How many NCAA appearances?2ish? (I honestly don't know-don't follow State basketball too much)
And of course the infamous lack of sweet 16 appearnaces

So, is Stansbury the best that State coulve hoped for, or could someone else have done more?

Of course, it's all hypothetical. For all we know, AK couldve won 10 consecutive NCs at state...highly doubt, but if we're throwing out imaginary scenarios, well theres one more.

So, out of a dozen or so years at the helm, Stansbury has notably2 or soNCAA appearances and a couplesec tourney titles. Is that the ceiling?

How long do you give Kennedy? This is 4 years and 0 NCAA tournament appearances .Only one basketball coach in SEC historyhas kept their job after 6 seasons of no NCAA appearances, and that is Ed Murphy at Ole Miss. That is why Lebo was fired this year. I dont care how much your players like you, how good of a coach some think you are ,or how close you have gotten to the tournament, it doesnt matter. Throw inKennedy's arrest last year and an apparent drinking problem, and he will be on the hot seat next year.

and you misunderstood the 3 year question. The question was "when would the questions start to be raised about a coach?" and I said in his 3rd season if he hasn't started to win. If he hasn't done anything by the end of year 3, year 4 would be do or die.

But good try on twisting the points.

coming in. Add that last year was basically a freebie due to losing three starters for the year to knee injuries. Plus losing Buckner was what cost us the tourney this year. Don't get me wrong, this was his worst coaching job yet. But we've played well the last seven games or so, so it's not like we had a total season end flameout.

But no dance next year and he should be gone.

4 years of no tourney = grounds for firing especially with the incident last year.
