Angel Hernandez has no business calling MLB games.

The guy is awful... 2 Braves already tossed, a third Brave argued (correctly), arguments by 2 Phillies already, and Cliff Lee is getting pitches called strikes a mile high, as well as well off the plate. Ridiculous... he's awful.

I knew this was going to be a tough series...

but losing 2 of 3 at home to the Marlins hurt bad. In trying to keep a solid leg up in the NL East going into the All-Star break, that hurt very bad.

Cliff Lee is pitching insane right now and I knew tonight was going to be a tough game... but I didn't expect to win this series.

The consistency with this team is non existent. They can be playing well and then all of the sudden go 20 innings without scoring. Really need a good leadoff hitter

It's because this team lives and dies off the long ball.

Atlanta has shown time and time again this year they struggle stringing hits together to score enough runs, especially against pitching like Lee. Dan Uggla just demonstrated that.

Manuel will probably stick with Lee, but Lee is tiring. We need to try to get McCann home and I like our chances here.

You were saying? A few hits strung together here, and Lee's night is done.

Also, although the base ump looked like he missed the call at first, that call is hard as hell to make. I still hate Angel Hernandez... the guy is a joke.

Justin tried to do WAY too much with that at-bat... he got 2, arguably 3 VERY hittable pitches and instead of making contact and putting the ball in play, he tried to hit the cover off the ball.

I changed the channel. Google Angel Hernandez and see how inept he has been as an umpire, going all the way back when he was a minor league ump. There is a disturbing pattern of his assault on the integrity of the game. Twice he has blown a HR call AFTER reviewing replay. Some believe he is against replay and is intentionally making the wrong call as a protest of the replay system. Peter Gammons is on record supporting that belief. Some say Hernandez has something on Selig and has job security no matter how ridiculous he gets. I wish he was assigned to the American League only. Shameful to the great American game, he is.
