The west lower section appeared to be nearly full, and the east lower was over half full.

1. The MSU website says the lower levels plus all chairbacks = 36,400 with a butt in every seat with a number. Today, like last year, the west side lower level and chairbackswere3/4 full and the east lower level and charibackswere lesss than1/2 full. Maybe there was 500 people in every skybox hiding behind the glass that I couldn't see. My guess for both years, 20 to 25k.

2. There was nobody counting bodies that entered the stadium unless they were silently counting to themselves which means that the 'event staff' stationed there unquestionably counted the same people several times. In other words, not only did the girl to my right count me when I walked in but her colleague to my left also counted me.

If there were 30k last year and 34k today then a packed house would be pushing 70k.

Let's be honest, what the f*ck does that matter? Spring attendance, really? The reason I posted is because Mullen keeps taking jabs at Ole Miss, and I love the **** out of it.

.....when you got the 6 pack. "MISSISSIPPI STATE LIED!" Ok, now what? You want the maroon team to vacate the win? Somebody fired?

25K or 30K or 35K, who gives a ****. I went to one spring game years ago. THere was maybe 5K there. Either way, congrats Mississippi State. Congrats to the fans that went.

The West side was much more than 3/4 full. Almost completely full.

East side may have been 2/3 full. It was harder to judge as it's where I sat.<div>
</div><div>I still don't think there were 34k there, but damn if campus/town weren't crowded as hell.</div><div>
</div><div>If the 36,000 capacity for lower decks is accurate, then the 34k estimate may not be terribly unreasonable.</div><div>
</div><div>One half basically full = 18,000, one half 2/3 full (this is a little generous, I'd say, but makes for easy math) = 12,000. That would assume 4,127 people in the club levels and press box.</div><div>
</div><div>I'd say we broke 30k, anyway.</div>

East side looked half full to me. It was hard to tell because of them being spread out. After five minutes of studying, I determined it was half full. Take that to the bank! West side was probably at least 90% based on that picture.

It was definitely pretty packed on the west side and around 60% one the east side

I was on the west side, and it wasn't packed out. A good crowd, but plenty of available seats.
Looking across at the east side, there was a fair crowd, perhaps 1/2 to 2/3rds, being generous.
I'm talking about the lower decks in both cases. The upper decks weren't that populated.
The club level was perhaps full on the inside, but sparse on the outside.

So, if our stadium holds 54K, I was hoping we'd have 30, but from what I saw, I'm not sure.
Then again, I'm not a crowd estimating expert.

It's a spring scrimmage, and I was more concerned with what I saw on the field than in the stands.
I won't elaborate on the former, since there are so many others on this board who will.

Bryne: "Ok go with "34,127"
