If she does one thing that I haven't seen mentioned on here and drives me nuts.....we cannot go almost anywhere by ourselves. She HAS to have a member of her family with us at all times. Even something as benign as going to the grocery store, a sister, niece, parent...someone is always in tow....and not by choice, most of them think its weird as well.

Wait a second, so every single time you guys have gone to the store to pick something up or go out some where for a task you have not only had to do it with your wife but you had to do it with an in-law as well? WTF? Am I reading that correctly? That sounds absolutely horrific. Seriously, that's basically a deal breaker. I'm barely able to wrap my mind around it.

I agree that talking on the phone sucks, but it also annoys me that my wife practically refuses to call anyone other than family about anything.

Need to call the vet to make a boarding appointment for the dog? She won't do it. Need to call a hotel/airline/whatever about a change in a trip? Asks me to do it for her. None of these usually take more than 4-5 minutes and don't require any difficulty.

Okay...from the number of comments received on this, i suppose this does require a bit of clarification on my part.

This is more of a weekend thing than during the week as I travel a good deal for work, (who knows what goes on when I'm not there)

But I guess that's what makes it all the more frustrating when I get home on thurs / Friday, there are things that need to be done, and its sometimes a struggle to get anything done with others in tow, with their own agendas built in.

And the fact she has a GIANT family (8 siblings, a dozen or more nieces / nephews, plus her parents) so theres always a pool of candidates to choose from or force into.

Heck I see her family more in a single weekend than I do mine in a couple years.

Or am I just being selfish? (I don't really think so, just put it out there)

No, your "explanation" just made it worse. Pretty sure you should get a divorce.

The fact that she is one of nine siblings is probably a solid indicator of him fibbing or her being batshit.

1. Screaming at the top of her lungs if we even have the slightest roll back in my car on a hill when I switch to first gear.
2. Me: Where do you want to eat? Her: I don't know. Me: Where do you want to eat? Her:I don't know. Me: I choose. Her: I don't want to go there.
3. Me standing in front of a door holding a really heavy box with both hands and I am struggling. She just stands there and proceeds to tell me about her day. Finally I say "You might want to open the door." FYI this happens in different situations where she just completely ignores what is going on around her and I have to deal with it.
4. Having a full blown conversation with the dog like he understands and is answering her.

Nothing is ever enough. Buying her Disney annual passes was the dumbest thing I have done. Of course, did it to try and satisfy her. It's an impossible endeavor.

She was bitching at me for not wanting to go to a state park or a short trip on July 4th weekend. I finally told her to STFU and stop being a whiny brat. That went over well.

Just to give you an idea.

August- beach trip
Labor Day Weekend- trip to Disney
Fall break- trip to Disney
Novemeber- she goes on a girl's trip to Disney with her family
Christmas- trip to Disney

Yeah, another trip seemed brilliant. I'm at my breaking point.

**** if you're ever in the Disney area and don't want to go. Let me know. We'll go smoke a bunch weed and get drunk and look at big tits at Twin Peaks.

My buddy is taking his family to celebrate his 20th year anniversary at Disney in Sept for 5 nights. Staying on property with discounted hotel rooms, tickets to Universal and Disney and the Flight: $2800. Yikes...I will get him and his wife a nice gift.

Preaching to the choir on these two. The medical one drives me nuts. I've told her a million times to stop googling all of this BS about medical stuff. All it does is freak her out when it's nothing and wastes a trip to the doctor. Time after time!

The secondary drowning thing must be one of those typical "I saw this on a shared facebook post so now I will let it consume me" type things.
My sister does this. We go on a beach vacation every year with my mom and dad and her family. She is one of the worst helicopter parents in all the land. My brother-in-law bless his heart could write 15-16 paragraphs in this thread. My wife even feels sorry for him. I just laugh because when we were all out drinking after their rehearsal dinner and my dad told him that even if he left tonight he would never be mad or hold it against him, but if he ever left after saying those vows there would be trouble.

She goes to Disney three times a year?

We normally go once every two years.

However, she blabbed and blabbed about one year getting an annual pass. I did it for her because she used to put up with my UK football jackassery.

I mean does she not want to switch it up, that's 4 damn disney trips in a year. That's like 20K for Disney. What the hell is she doing there? This thread is good for my marriage.

We drop around $2k per Disney trip this year because I coughed up for the annual pass.

* she makes good $ so the money isn't the issue. It's the insanity of it all and not being satasified/appreciative for us putting up with the stupid ****.

Leaves on lights. As in all of the lights.
Thinks my income is bill paying money and hers is spending money for her
Washes and dries clothes but never puts them up. Just leaves the clean ones in the dryer.

But, she's awesome. Nobody else's wife lets them listen to Slayer in the living room at 1 a.m. without complaining, but instead requesting certain deep cuts from albums older than her.

Um...nothing that hasn't been listed. My wife is a chick, she does things that annoy me that can be said about any woman but I'm a 100 times more difficult to be around so it's no big deal to me.

My wife is a slob and birches about it like she didn't do it. She brings work **** home and stacks **** all over the house, leaves **** laying in wrong places repeatedly - like socks in the garage (wtf?). Always buying **** to organize but never getting past the spending money part so it ends up being more **** laying around. She asked me one time why I didn't do more laundry and I told her that would leave her with absolutely nothing to lay claim to accomplishing. She can cook, she is super smart and she's good at her job but the house **** is hopeless. Wears me out. Also she lets the dog be stupid which I have to fix.

I love her and all, but she is the most hypersensitive, emotional and neurotic human being I've ever met.

I mean, it has been a while since I have been to Disney but I would consider multiple trips a year a punishment.

Going to the beach multiple times a year? Great! Effing Disney? No, sir. Absolutely not.

The Disney trips are so off the wall I don't even know how to respond.

The cynical analyst part of me has a theory, though. The Disney blather is just an elaborate cover for pill runs to Orlando. Now that make sense. The Disney crap, not so much.

Of course his wife could also be heading down there to bang Willy three times a year...

She never fills up her gas tank. It will be on empty and she will always ask me to go put gas in her car.

Never loads the dishwasher. Leaves the dishes in the sink but then bitches that I am not loading the dishwasher correctly.

I can't really complain. My girl is pretty awesome and will put out anytime I want so I can live with the other stuff.

If that last sentence is true, then I don't believe u r married.

I travel a lot for work so I meet a whole lot of people, work with them closely for a few months, and then move on. One thing I've found is that there are "Disney people" out there who either don't have kids or have kids who are grown, but still go to Disney like 4 times per year. Overall, I'd say 75% of them are really wacky. But I have met a few that are completely normal, just love them some Disney world.

I assume they play Pokemon too and, ergo, can go touch themselves with a rake.
