"I'm not stubborn enough to say, 'This is our offense, this is what we're doing,' even if we don't have the personnel to run it"

It at least sounds like he's trying stuff that makes sense in his quest to succeed. Not burning redshirts and punting from the 30.

proclaiming, "We ARE going to run the West Coast offense. I don't care what anybody says. That's what we're going to do and this is how we're going to do it."

Mullen's recruiting priority is wide receivers -- "Don't be shocked if you see a bunch of true freshmen wide receivers play for Mississippi State this year," he said.

a whole lot better coaching, i think you will see a decent OL in 2009. Having Dixon in the game when we run it 95% of the time kind of gave away tendencies during the Crooms regime. Those days are over.

Mullen has already publicly said "I want to spread the field and get those guys out there one on one and let them have the opportunity to make something happen".

Having a real coach with energy is going to make a huge difference for State.

You will see OL with wider splits and instead of having three reads per play you will see them move to more of a zone blocking shceme.

Starting OL next year looks solid: LT Sherrod, LG Smith, C Brignone, RG Jenkins, RT Melichar or Freeman. The backups looks to be ok, with really no true back up LT.

I thought his IQ would be 130, but he must have missed the question on punting from the opponent's 30.
