A 5 spot in 8th likely going to seal the loss.
13-8. Tarholes.
11 different pitchers. 9 walks 4 HR''s given up

After what I've seen recently, I'm prepared to see them get run-ruled in all 3 games this weekend. Would really be surprised if they even avoid the sweep.

You can't expect to win too many games when you average giving up a dozen every time out, even if you have an excellent hitting team... which this one is not. Here's hoping they keep their chins up and continue to work on improving... but that can be a difficult attitude to keep when things are going like this and jumping overboard for the next opportunity is as easy as flushing the portal-can. That's the difference between a "team" and a collection of mercenaries.

Oh well, Go 'Cocks! 👍

''In the last four games, the Gamecocks have allowed 48 runs and 12 home runs.''
We load them up with BB's for HR's which is a killer.

Watched the whole miserable thing. That's some of the worst pitching I've ever seen. How in the world do you end up with 12 guys that ALL struggle to find the plate on the same night?

The late, great Robert George Uecker's voice is ringing in my head...

"Just a touch outside."

We threw 231 pitches last night. 47% were balls.

Top teams average something like 36-38%. Definitely less than 40%.

You aren't going to win many games at 47%.

For whatever reason, the pitchers we carried over from last year have not progressed, they've regressed.

The worst part of the portal. The mentality undoubtedly being instilled by the nature of college athletics is to take the easy way out, disguised as "doing what's best for me and my future."
