Matt Holliday for Brett Wallace
I say do it. Wallace has been playing first and third at Memphis but his defense is turrible.

There's no reason not to deal him. He's obviously not going to make it up behind Pujols. And Pujols will be there his career hopefully. So, do it. Get a good outfielder who has shown he's a great hitter in the past. Get him in a positive situation in St Louis vs. 17'n Oakland and let him thrive next to PujolsDesotoCountyDawg said:From what I have heard and read, it is scary when he starts at 3rd. Duncan and Ankiel are both liabilities at the plate. Holliday would take most of Ankiel's at bats away. Holliday, Rasmus, Ludwick would be the outfield.South Panola Dawg said:I wouldn't do it for another OF bat. Hell, you just cleared the logjam out there by trading Duncan yesterday and you're already talking about playing Glaus out there when he comes back off the DL. 5 OFs vying for PT won't work. I think you'd be much better off trying to move him in a deal for Halladay. Adding Halladay would put you over the top and seal up the Central for you. Your offense should do enough now that the OF is settled and DeRosa is off the DL. And it'll improve when Glaus comes back. I just don't see the need for another OF as much as for a real #1 pitcher. Your rotation is ok, but Halladay would solidify it and let the rest of the rotation fall into place.
This is the last year of the three year deal he signed with the Cubs. He is a free agent after this year.TheHorrorTheHorror said:on another tangent, how long is derosa under contract?
