Stansbury misses the NIT this season and underachieves next season. Byrne then fires him and completes the task of putting his men in the Big 3

anytime soon...couple that with up and down guard play all season, and we are very likely to miss the NIT

unless we have another flurry of transfers at the end of the year, I could certainly see us missing all tournaments this year. Making the NIT is MUCH more difficult than it has been in the past. I really don't look for us to be much over .500 by the end of the year unless we improve rapidly. The only saving grace is that the SEC West is very weak.

As for the team this year, as bad as we sucked last night (I was there), we are so bipolar that I could still see us making the NIT. We'll beat some teams that we shouldn't beat, and lose to teams that we shouldn't lose to (like Charlotte).

We are going to be so frustrating this year.

As much as I liked Jamont (I like him a lot), we may miss Charles more than Jamont this year. Romero may be a threat eventually but he may not be one this year. Jarvis and Kodi have proven unable to beat anybody on a regular basis and Elgin has terrible decision making on the offensive end of the floor.

As far as Elgin is concerned, has anyone else noticed that he always uses about five or so moves every time he touches it? He goes through his patented "catch, head-fake, dribble, head-fake, shot-fake, spin, aimlessly throw line-drive hook shot" routine seemingly every time he gets fed in the post. Anyway, that's just my observation.

If we dont make the NIT this year, that will make 1 NCAA Tourney appearance the last 4 seasons...That doesnt meet my expectations nor the AD's...I'd expect his job to be on the line in 2009-2010

If Stans cant even make it to the NIT why should we keep him around. You can only keep a good recruitor around for so long, and until we start making a push in the tourney and take advantage of our oppourtunities (DUKE) then his job should be on the line. I like the direction the ninja is headed, he deffinetly has the winning attitude that State has been lacking for a long time
