Some guy posted on East Carolina's Rivals Message board that Brad Pendergrass told him Skip Holtz and Tommy Bowden are the 2 leading candidates at this time.

from the old staff would be made aware of who the leading candidates are.I may be wrong, but it doesn't make sense to hire Chuck Nienas yesterday and all these names leaking out today. CN ain't fixin to leak any names to anybody but Byrne when he does compile a list of candidates. These 2 may very well be leading candidates in the final group, but as of today I call bs.

Why is everyone hyping up Tommy Bowden, if you can not win at Clemson with not one but 2 potential 1st round draft picks and is pretty much run out of town in midseason when if he ever had a year to go the distance this was considered his year...why why why would anyone want to hire a guy who cant win with talent. Give it to crooms atleast he lost with no talent Tommy Bowden lost with talent

Tommy Bowden gets talent, lots more than Croom ever did. And he won 8-9 games every year at a place that expected a conference title every three years and a possible national title run every 10. That's why he's out. I'm not hearing anyone on this board expecting more than 8 wins a year. While Bowden might not be the best choice, he wouldn't be bad either.

Ok he might of never had a loosing record but if you can not make a run for a national championship with the talent that he surrounded himself with that says a lot. I mean he would be a vast improvement and his recruiting is awesome and it would be nice to have some talent here...BUT why should we not go for Peterson or Ball States head coach or Utah's coach why should we not go for THE BEST coach that we can get. Im sick of loosing every dam year EVERY YEAR I think we deserve a change and we deserve it NOW.

How do you know we are not going fpr them? Just because we offer doesnt mean they will accept. petersen isnt coming here
