Another good reason to get rid of Croom

Next season's home schedule is going to be one of the best we have had in a while.
And if we still have Crxxm I am not going to be anticipating it. Theres a lot of money that can come from those games if we field a competitive Coach and a competitive team.
Jackson State
Georgia Tech
LSU
Houston
Florida
Alabama
Ole Miss

Your right about that. I don't know (can't remember) if we have ever payed Georgia Tech at home. We play our two biggest rivals at home. LSU is never a bad team to play at home when your talking about bringing in a visiting crowd. Houston may be tough (unless the band leaves their carts in the back of the end zone). Go ahead and count Florida as a bit fat L.

I still don't like the Jackson State game. I think its just a bad idea for the city. Be prepared for some problems just like in the "Dirty-Burg".

I really like the idea of hosting Jackson State we will bring in a bigger crowd because of that and have the Sonic Boom entertaining us. Now if we have Crxxm coaching that game we might end up being the first SEC school to lose to a SWAC school that day.

I think Croom might be in the SWAC by that time next year. Any SWAC teams looking for a good coach?

with our home schedule. We played or will play the worst Tenn, Ark, and Aub teams in the past 10-15 years and will lose to all three. A good coach could have gone undefeated at home this year and 1 win at La Tech easily.

....even through the SEC years, versus either MSU or Ole Miss. I've heard stories that Bobby Dodd refused to bring his teams here.

Anybody know why?

.....will be a struggle anyway because of the losses we're going to have. It's still better to get a head start with a new coach though, and maybe if he's offensive-minded we'll at least be fun to watch next year.

This, of course, is all a pipe dream.

I saw the schedule and was pretty excited until I realized we are probably going to get demolished in most of those games. But with MSU football, you never know.

you may or may not fare well through that schedule; but, with Croom still your coach, you won't sell many season tickets, but, if he pulls off what looks to require a miracle at this point, some wins would fill the stands. its just one of several factors to be considered whether he's retained or canned....
