TOP TO BOTTOM, THE BIG 12 IS BETTER THAN THE SEC. Sacrilege? Not really. The SEC has two awful teams - Arkansas and Mississippi State. There's also a lot of mediocrity - Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee. The title contenders - Alabama, Florida, Georgia and LSU - still have some questions. As for Vanderbilt, the Commodores actually seem legit - which might be the most damning aspect of it all.

Nobody has looked really good except Bama.

I'll give LSU and Florida a "pretty good". Georgia gets a "pretty good minus".

State and Arkansas suck.

The rest are mediocre.

The Vandy comment offends. The occasional rise of a perennial doormat is a tribute to a conference's strength.

NU, CU, and Iowa State are average at best. Mizzou, OU, UT and TexasTech all seem very good at this point. Okie State and KU are good.

They may be better... But i still believe that they are much more top heavy than the SEC.

SEC is still better top to bottom simply because of one thing... toughness... pound for pound, even the bottom teams are tougher than the Big XII's bottom teams...

At the top... you have OU and Mizzou, who would match up really really well with Bama and LSU... then Texas and OSU seem to line up with UGA and Auburn...

It's getting closer, but the SEC is still better in my opinion... and I'm a Big XII guy...
