His team this year outscored their first two opponents 100-14, and then lost to Michigan Saturday 45-28, after jumping out on Michigan early. His record so far in Colorado is 4/8, 2-10, 4-9. And started 2-1 (wins over Idaho state and Colorado state). Don't think that was much an improvement as Colorado is a lot like U.K. But in a somewhat easier conference.
Stop saying the Houston guy. His name is tom Herman, who is the next big coach. He would never consider uk in a million yearsI still kind of favor the Houston guy. Or maybe if Bob Stoops get fired from Oklahoma, maybe we can bring in the real Stoops coach. Have little bro be assistant.
Yes because hiring an assistant on uks staff worked out so well for us the last time. I'm starting to wonder if uk fans really that naive and ignorantIf the offense keeps improving and plays like they did Saturday, what about giving Gran a shot at the job? He would likely keep Hinshaw and maybe a few other coaches. That would cut down on the buyouts probably about a couple million. That is if the offense wasn't a fluke for the 3 good halves we've had and they can keep it up.
They just destroyed Florida state in their bowl game last year, then they beat Oklahoma pretty bad this year. He would get a bigger offer. He would not consider us.Houston guy WOULD consider us, he is just a couple bad losses from being chopped down a bit in the coaching tree. You act like UK is New Mexico State or something, I know fans are upset, but come on, We Are UK.
Stop saying the Houston guy. His name is tom Herman, who is the next big coach. He would never consider uk in a million years
I don't know why you are directing that towards me. He probably will be in the NFL but he isn't going to consider hereAgain, Herman will be in the NFL in 2-3 years.
Do you realize what you are even saying? Bill curry was pretty much ran out of town. Houston guy is a pretty big name unless you don't watch college football. He was OC on OSUs national championship team a couple of years ago. He's already done big things in less than 2 years. Stop being so naive and ignorant. PleaseWhatever, I refuse to give up hope. Guess Neal Brown will be a longshot also. Bill Curry left Alabama and came here, Houston guy is not that big a name.

When are folks like you going to realize that BC DID NOT leave Ala on his own... He was going to be fired, not because UK was such a better job than bama was and then CM(get his name off the field) Newton gave him about 4 years too long to run the program in the ground because of the ties they had built because CM loved Ala so much.Whatever, I refuse to give up hope. Guess Neal Brown will be a longshot also. Bill Curry left Alabama and came here, Houston guy is not that big a name.
How do you know? Are you a friend or his buddy? The new facilities here etc... Shows a coach we put the money into the program etc... We need a coach to match the facilities. Plus the ohio pipelines stay open. He plays in Sec . The Sec East is ripe for the taking. I totally disagree with you on this. The thing is only way we do not get him or same cali er tyoe coach is cause Mitch was gin shy and other schools like Auburn,Lsu, maybe even Oklahoma etc... Will be looking. We want a great caluber coach we need to get at it before the other schools that are going to be looking. We do not have to settle for mediocrity. Its BS! Time to hire a hot up and comer or a proven winner. Briles, Butch Davis, Jim ,Tressel , Herman are my first 4 calls and throw Brohm in there as well.Stop saying the Houston guy. I'm just being real. His next step is a power house or NFL.How do you know? Are you a friend or his buddy? The new facilities here etc... Shows a coach we put the money into the program etc... That's not accurate. He was probably destined to be fired after one more year, assuming one more mediocre year, but the fact was that Alabama had already offered him a crap contract, and he saw the writing on the wall. He was still getting one more year. His situation was close to that of Tubby Smith, though Smith probably had two more mediocre seasons before he would have been canned, whereas Curry probably only had one. I can also tell you that many Alabama fans were furious about him leaving for UK. And that's even though they hated Curry. They hated him, and yet they were disgusted that he would insult them by leaving for UK. Paul Finebaum, who should have been objective since he is a professional, was the ringleader of the bunch as far as that goes. When are folks like you going to realize that BC DID NOT leave Ala on his own... He was going to be fired, not because UK was such a better job than bama was and then CM(get his name off the field) Newton gave him about 4 years too long to run the program in the ground because of the ties they had built because CM loved Ala so much.
I'm going to pile on here. Kentucky fans using Bill Curry as an example of being able to bring in a top notch cosch is like Minnesota fans using Tubby Smith as an exam example of being able to bring in a top notch basketball coach.Whatever, I refuse to give up hope. Guess Neal Brown will be a longshot also. Bill Curry left Alabama and came here, Houston guy is not that big a name.
UC fans did the same when they got Tubberville, even though he was skating on VERY thin ice at TTU.I'm going to pile on here. Kentucky fans using Bill Curry as an example of being able to bring in a top notch cosch is like Minnesota fans using Tubby Smith as an exam example of being able to bring in a top notch basketball coach.
Well every coach we've had the past 20 years save Brooks hasn't accomplished anything he has in 2 years. And I'm being lenient on BrooksTwo wins as a HEAD COACH and we are ready to make him Nick Saban. Slow your roll and let him win something FIRST. How many times have we watched hot shot coach win a couple games, gets rocket shipped to the best coach available tag, and then fall flat on his *** when he gets in over his head ?? He has not won **** yet, oh he beat Oklahoma and FSU, guess the Cowboys should call him and fire Garrett, I mean he is right there in Texas.
Ah, but we may do exactly that. If we don't win on Saturday, I will say, we are winning 3 at best.Jim Tressel would be interesting. Herman will go to LSU, one of the TX Schools or wait for Urban to get sick. If there is a change, and say if , I believe it will be Neil Brown or Jeff Brohm. No inisde info, but just a feeling.
All that said, I believe that Coach Stoops will be here next year unless we go 2-10.
Yes because hiring an assistant on uks staff worked out so well for us the last time. I'm starting to wonder if uk fans really that naive and ignorant
I didn't say that. I'm just saying hiring someone from within is very very trickyYou act like coaches are lining up to come here. No one has been interested in this job besides assistant coaches since Hal Mumme was fired 15 years ago. Brooks just did us a favor after we couldn't get anyone else. The Joker experiment failed (I was against it from the time the hciw title was given).
We did have success from promoting within when Guy Morris was here. Unfortunately he bailed on us for more money. So depending on how the coaching search goes, we might be forced to hire from within again. Maybe do an interim head coach title and give him a year or two tryout. If Barnhart refuses to hire anyone unless they are a saint, then the choices are limited.

Colorado will definitely be going bowling this year, which is more than we can say about our Cats.

Just like tubby smith leaving for minn. When are folks like you going to realize that BC DID NOT leave Ala on his own...
