of the top 20 on the leaderboard, he is the only one over par for the day.

Yeah a couple of guys shot low numbers but they knew they didn't have a chance to get back in it. Tiger has a ho hum day and wins by 3.

that once aGAIN, the guy paired with Tiger blows up and cant shoot a damn 68 or 67 and make Tiger win a Tourney. Its gifted to him

I think the 63-65 he put up on Friday and Saturday had more to do with him winning than the field "gifting it" to him. No doubt the rest of the field sucked (probably one of the reasons Tiger typically doesn't play this event), but after the bad day he had on Thursday, he had to do some work to put him in the position to coast to the win today.

Blitzkrieg or whatever his name was threw out a 65 himself and was only one shot back starting the day. So what does he do?

Shoots the highest score of the top 30 when paired with Tiger. That to me is gifting it to someone.

but weren't there quite a few people here a week ago saying that Tiger no longer has the fear factor effect on other players anymore? I'd say he disproved that today.

Also, for those saying he's not the same golfer that anymore... Out of 10 stroke play events since his comeback from surgery, he's won 4 while scoring Top 10s in all others with the exception of the British Open. The perception that he has "lost it" is ridiculous.

Tiger was about to burn out, and because he now had kids and a family...he was more or less no longer going to be the same golfer.

He is/about to go over the hill...mainly because he has not won a Major this year.

Makes my *** laugh!

I was the one that posted Tiger's history of everybody folding up like a cheap suit when paired up with him...

But I did say it will be interesting to see if he keeps knocking down majors like he has, because unless he wins the PGA, he and Jack are now on the same career pace. Having a family now, his first injury, and other things may slow his roll. At no time did I say he was losing it or was about to be over the hill. I just pointed out his majors pace is no longer ahead of Jack's.

struggling in majors and playing in a final pairing to win a Tourney are two different animals</p>

but I can do nothing but laugh at all of the sportswriters and others that have been saying that he's just not the same Tiger anymore. Maybe he isn't, but if he can win 40% of his tournaments for the rest of his career, he'll be just fine.

I've also seen lots of folks say that his biggest concern these days is that no one is scared of him anymore. Well, there may be a few out there with nothing to lose that aren't, but you throw a guy that's never won before in a final pairing like today and well, we all saw what happened.

No matter how many more tournaments Tiger wins, the debate as to who was better between Nicklaus and Tiger will go down in sports history as one of the greatest ever.
