Lost to La Tech in the first NCAA final on the same day Rutgers beat Texas for the last AIAW championship. Grentz "quietly took $500 out of her savings account" with the hope of taking the team for a celebratory dinner.
La Tech had won the AIAW the year before.
If you are as old as I am you will remember La Tech, Immaculata, and Delta State being top tier women's basketball teams.

We have been incredibly blessed to have the pioneers we’ve had here as our coaches. We’ve had 45 years with 2 hall of fame coaches. I hope the next coach will continue that trend and bring continued excellence
