Nice to see Griffin a four star, took a while. Part of the reason UK is now ahead of UL in the standings now, pretty much reversed positions from the last time I checked, UK now 20th and UL 23rd. Big factor was also our big OL Young jumping to a 6.0, huge rating especially for an OL, Leavitt also impressive at a 5.9, also feel better about him, didn't know he was from Ohio originally. Also noticed UL had a highly rated LB commit recently, a 5.9, and he is no longer on their commit list above, which helped drop them in the ratings.
Both have 22 commits, UK now with four four stars and UL with three, UK with a composite average by Rivals of 5.618 to UL's 5.609 using Rivals numerical ratings.
Which brings up a question for J Rowland, why does Rivals use the MUCH less informative "star" ratings in their team ratings (and also in rating players individually) where UK's average is 3.05 and UL is at 3.0 rather than their numerical ratings. There is a hell of a difference in the quality of player you should expect to be getting in a 5.5 and a 5.7, or a 5.8 or 6.0, and the system is already in place, why not use it?
And yeah, ratings don't mean a lot in individual cases sometimes, but I think they do in whole classes.
