U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe revealed in an interview Monday she will “probably never sing the national anthem again” weeks before the team is set to defend their World Cup title in France.
Rapinoe said she wasn’t satisfied with the conversation that stemmed from her decision to knee during the anthem. She expressed her displeasure with U.S. soccer’s statement about the kneeling controversy and the federation’s decision to adopt a rule requiring players to “stand and honor the flag.”

Come on Snowflake, she's trying to win a championship for America while enjoying her freedom of speech. You should be cheering her on.

not rooting for an American athlete because she doesn't sing a certain song. hmmmm.

It's warmed up here. It must still be cold in your area to be producing so much snow.

Why in the world do you care?
She’s representing our Nation on the world stage. If she feels she cannot do so with honor and maintain her personal integrity, she should decline to go.

To borrow a line from Miracle:
The name on the front of your jersey means a hell of a lot more than the name on the back.

Because she won't sing? I don't think she's gonna wipe period blood all over the flag. Good grief.

PS - I don't sing it. Am I now ISIS?

She wants people to attack her so she can play the victim. She has a history of this.

Perhaps I read it wrong. My understanding was she was intending to kneel. If she’s able to comport herself in a manner befitting our nation, I have no issue.

And her work ethic, perseverance in the face of adversity, commitment to team, and even her level of political engagement doesn’t honor our nation?

You should at least stand if you are representing our nation Mr. Kristol. Now you can add ISIS to your resume along with being a faux republican. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Left your heart in England did ya ? Maybe she could at least stand while representing her country ? Maybe not be a distraction and leave her politics at home ? Why ? Because you also described her teammates in your post ?

She seems more interested in her own personal agenda and her timing woyld suggest ahe is more ibterested in using the big stage to hobor that.

I would laugh if the team cut her. She is replaceable.

She wants to kneel, US Soccer won’t allow it, so she said she won’t sing.

She just wants equal rights for homosexuals, and less religious absolutism in our law making. She’s active politically and wants to use her small stage to affect public opinion.

She’s not the devil, and sometimes protest is as American as anything else, imo.

The woman can play, I’m sure non of her teammates feel she’s anything but a positive for the team.

It’s not just politics to her

In this tread we see liberals being Misogynist even when their parties main platform is based on fighting against it.

Equal rights for homosexuals?
Protection against discrimination, marriage recognition, ability to serve in military, transgender rights, more social acceptance...

She said she was inspired by Kap and knows what it feels like to not have equal rights under the flag

You obviously have never been part of a team. Teachers union or fraternities dont count. No teammates likes individuals that are causing drama or distractions. They will give it lip service but everyone hates it. Coaches the most. She can protest ! I'm all about it ! Just use a different platform.

The LBGTQ community has pulled together to impactvtheir political effectiveness. Surely you’ve seen this somewhere? Social acceptance in the form of LBGTQ rights not being seen as a mental disease or a threat to religious sanctity. Discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation has just been allowed by law in the US.
