If the Birmingham City School Board rules - as expected - that Eric Bledsoe received an A in a class he actually had a C in, it would be determined that Bledsoe would not have been eligible to play college basketball last year even though the NCAA cleared him. Which means UK would might have to forfeit wins in games in which he participated. It would also mean that Cal's official record would be pretty ******.

Does State College get the tournament banner?

Typically no. They forfeit the wins but don't declare the on court loser the winner. In the mind of the NCAA, this is punishment.

Phil Taylor from SI wrote his column about it this week. The NCAA asked UMass to take down their Final Four banner from 96 because of the Camby scandal. They refused. (Who was that UMass coach? I forgot....)

I will never be able to buy a shirt at Barnes and Nobel saying "MSU Basketball 2010 SEC Tournament Champs"!

Even if we did get that title, it still wouldn't change anything. We still will have underachieved all season.

and maybe we can hang it right next to the 2008 NCAA sweet 16 banner since Memphis had to forfeit all of their games that season.

They will say the victories are vacated and the titles are vacated. They will not give them to us.
