Another Sidney fight?

This might well be posting videos to facebook but I was told yesterday that there is a rumor that after the LSU loss they were having a player's only meeting where Moultrie was talking saying they had to play harder and better...especially on defense. Supposedly, RSS mumbled something under his breath of a smart nature and Moultrie went over and decked him starting a fight that spilled out into the parking lot. If true, then that is at least the 2nd fight that the Pillsbury Dough Boy has been in with a team mate. Makes you wonder if he is killing any team chemistry and is causing the implosion. After all, he opted to do his own thing instead of going on the European trip and his lack of effort and apparently appearing to not give a fart in the wind about the team has been well documented. If this is true, why is Stans keeping him on the team? His MO in the past has been to kick a player like that to the curb. It makes me wonder if there was somethind shadey in his recruiting that is causing him to try and make him happy.

On a related topic...I wonder who the unlucky person was to try and break up a fight between Moultrie and Sidney?

that people were unaware of- maybe this is what he is talking about

ETA- if true, makes 4 fights for Sidney: Kodi knocked him da 17 out, brawl vs Bailey, practice fight, and now this one.

This could explain a lot about the way the team has played lately.

The only thing that seems to have been changed about running this program is the AD told Rick to do a better job of keeping internal struggles quiet rather than having them spill over into the stands, media, etc. I think that the AD meant well but it appears to have backfired. The guys look bigger than the program/school at this point.

There's one floating around on youtube that got posted here of him getting in a locker room fight in HS.

You're just now wondering this? I've been told for years that Rick is one of the dirtiest recruiters in the league. Hell, look at the Gary Ervin situation. What other coach lets a player transfer not just within his own conference, but within his own DIVISION, unless said player had the goods on him? Seriously, the dirty recruiting on both sides was the whole reason for the feud between Stans & Gottfried when he was at Bama.

in basketball recruiting. It's worse than football. And it's everybody- some coaches just handle it better than others

if sidney is killing team chemistry ...i mean he sat on his fat *** for a year and then as soon as he is eligible he is starting day one, doing whatever he wants ...fast forward to 3 year in program and the dude is walking up and down the court in a SEC COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAME ...please post a video of another "athlete" that walks up and down the court and the ringmaster ...I mean Coach allows to do so.

I'd say that if Stansbury had not "invested" so much time into Sidney's cause, he would've pulled the trigger by now. Given the circumstances, both sides seem to be riding out the situation until season's end... avoiding negative publicity at all costs. The last thing we want is an angry 300-pound child mouthing off about our program's inner-workings because we let him go. Sidney knows that another published incident will practically wipe out what's left of his professional draft stock. So we're stuck, and he's stuck... until this season's over.

And let's face it, despite the turmoil and chemistry issues, we're a better team when Sidney's giving it some effort... so it's not like it's entirely a bad thing that he's still here.

Regardless of Rick Stansbury's fate, I'd be shocked to see Renardo Sidney enrolled beyond April.

..this team is too worn out by a long season to play defense during a game, but they have enough energy to fight, brawl & raise hell after a game.

Just another example out of a thousand as to why basketball will never be taken seriously in the South.

Didn't Moultrie hurt his shoulder in the LSU game? So after he was too hurt to come back during OT, he tee's off on fat boy in the locker room?

On the other hand, Sidney did have a susp er back spasms the next game...

But it doesn't mean it came to fisticuffs. Doesn't mean it didn't either. Just don't believe Moultrie would start swinging when he was too hurt to play.

Not surprising at all, but real disturbing. Definitely not good for Stans's hopes to be here next year.
