Holder's WHIP is way too high his last few appearances. Even early in the year he was pitching himself into jams.

While it's true that Holder hasn't been as sharp as I'd like at some points early this season, WHIP obviously includes walks, and, in my opinion, our officiating, especially at home plate, hasn't been as consistent as we will probably see in SEC play. So this could be said for a lot of stats for a lot of pitchers on our staff.Holder's WHIP is way too high his last few appearances. Even early in the year he was pitching himself into jams.

Fair enough. I mean I'm not blaming our two losses on bad officiating. And I'm not blaming his high-er WHIP on it either. I'm just saying it may be a factor.I have to disagree. I'll give you a pass from yesterday because Short's strike zone was pretty inconsistent (he's called many games for us and he's usually pretty sharp) and while a run yesterday was probably on him, the rest of the game was on us. Morris did a great job today behind the plate, I thought. The whole crew was solid today. We lost because we didn't work counts well and were too impatient at the plate and they were... that was why we lost.
