He came shortly after I graduated so I never really got to know him like that, but i can tell he's a good kid too. Glad to see him doing well better. Kind of hard to keep up being in Starkville now.

but as a joke, assuming that if he was decent at sports and from Petal he would be even better at baseball.
But I'm guessing it's true?
(I really don't keep up with my alma mater's sports teams).

even though you are right- he may very well be a first round draft pick, and he is the best junior baseball player in the state in my opinion- there is actually a better chance than a lot of people think that he will go to college.

Alford helped lead Petal to the 6A State Championship as a sophomore last spring over Madison Central.
He is about 6'1" 205 and is very similar to the QB from Michigan, Denard Robinson. He can run extremely well and has a good arm. He passed for over 150 yds tonight against Gulfport and also Ran for 150 accumulating all 4 Petal TDs against a previously undefeated Gulfport team.

As Todd said, there is a good chance that he may go to college to play both sports. Football is his favorite sport from what I hear.

If this kid does go to college and comes to State, he's going to be GOOD. His video is impressive.
