The Bobcats need to fold. Another terrible first rd pick. Especially when Noel is out there.

My Pelicans making moves! Noel for Jrue Holiday and a 1st rounder in the deepest draft maybe ever... wow.

Jordan is so terrible at the draft. His eye for talent and value at his picks is just awful. Zeller is a nice player at like 20th!! You can't miss that bad.

I'd rather have Zeller than Noel.. I'll pretty much always take the known over the unknown.. Noel could very well be Stromile Swift or Hasheem Thabeet. Zeller is a great athlete and has a total offensive game. I don't like guys who have to learn to play offense in the NBA.

What is wrong with Zeller?

The only thing I can think of is he doesnt have some prolific freak wingspan. He has height, size, runs the floor better than any other big post, has elite athleticism, rebounds, has solid mechanics...20th?

He probably wont be an all star, but 20th in this draft? I think some perspective is needed. Consider the alternatives. Zeller was the whipping boy of this draft. So much love last summer leading up to this season and is then perceived flaws are highlighted and beat to death leading up to the draft.

I don't think he should have gone 20th but I also don't think he should have gone 4th. He's another Tyler Hansborough type, which is good but not great.

I don't think he was close to being the best available. I thought he was a 8-12 pick.

Noel is an uncertainty but we know from his high school film and limited time at Kentucky that he has an elite skill set... The question is whether he can come back and gain weight in order to translate it to the NBA. You always take the best available, and I personally think Noel's floor is Zeller's ceiling. Noel can either become a franchise player or become a role player......... Barring weight/knee issues.

Noel may turn out to be a good player but right now I just don't see it. Noel is so skinny he makes Varnado look like Sidney and his range is limited to dunks and put backs.

Overall I think this was one of the worst drafts in history. I didn't see a single player that I thought would change the fortunes of a team. Man I miss the days where NBA Draft Day meant getting the next great superstar. The last one I can think of is probably Tim Duncan.

2003. Maybe 2007 (?) with Durant.

Noel is not going to be an offensive threat for Philly. He's going to make his money on D. Think Roy Hibbert.

6'11'' ~230lbs after he gains his rehab weight back won't be that bad. Just needs a professional nutritionist and trainer. Jarvis never had those resources until now. Had he been given those from day one I think he'd be logging minutes instead of DNP's.

2003

Was the last deep draft class with 2007 being next. Other than that, nothing but I do believe next year will be something special.

Absolutely agree.
4th seems high for Zeller, even in this draft. But 20th is nuts. Thats equating him with Dieng- a center who is raw overall, extremely limited on offense, is 2.5 significant development years older, and not as athletic.

Except Hibbert had an above average offensive game coming out of Georgetown...

he just needed some polish and refinement.. and now he has a total offensive game. Noel is a tall, skinny kid with really no offensive game to speak of.

Ha you just love trolling my posts. Here's two others I like that were drafted way too low imo. Jaamal Franklin and Peyton Siva. These are two STEALS in my book. The Grizz got a great player with Franklin.
