Anthony Davis and Lamar Odom are on the Olympic team?

A little surprising considering Odom's behavior this past season and the fact that Davis has not played a second in the NBA. Of course, I don't know the selection criteria but those two seemed like strange choices.

I believe they still have to trim the roster down to twelve, and Davis is now out due to an ankle injury, which sucks because we lack inside players.

Odom and Davis are big men with skills that fit well in the international game. Plus, they're both unselfish players who will not have a problem deferring to other players when it comes to scoring. I'll admit I'm surprised we can't do better, even taking into account the fact that US Basketball wants the players to fit together, but Odom especially seems like a decent option if they are convinced he can keep his head more or less straight. The 'Brow seems like he would be less likely to help this year, but maybe they view him as tailor made for the international game and want to expose him early.

Renardo Sidney is not busy right now. They should call him up.

He's got all the skills of International bigs with a body built for NBA basketball (at least it was several thousand big macs ago). For the 30 seconds he can play before he gets winded, I'm not sure there are any international post players that he can't either face up b/c they're too slow, or back down b/c they're too small.
