It is beyond me why they don't use ad at fullback. They had that big slow guy in there. I know ad is better than him. And I never been a fan of kap. He sucks, they should of kept the other guy. I wish ad would go somewhere that will use him, he is wasting away his career there.

Think he played some FB last week and even had a catch. Considering his limited experience, I'm sure the other guy knows blocking schemes and lanes better right now.

Dixon has been a beast today. He's played fullback, he's made a couple big ST plays, and he's constantly the first guy down field on kicks/punts. It's obvious as to why the Niners refuse to cut him loose. He's got one hell of a motor

I think they are using him well.

He's all over the field and good things usually happen when he's out there. Hell, they lined him up at wideout last week and threw a screen to him where he picked up an easy 6 or 7 yards. They have a huge FB that is pushing 300 lbs that they have to get into the mix as well. That said, I'd like to see some more passes to him out of the backfield to take advantage of his hands a little more....

Spider 2 Y Banana! It's a dump off to the FB!

AD didn't practice with the 1st string until a week before the playoffs, and before that he was spending 90% of the time in RB drills. The 9ers already have a great proven FB who was hurt late. Give him a whole off-season practicing with Gore and I think he'll be a highly sought after free agent next time he comes available. I don't remember him being particularly great at blocking or picking up the blitz in college, and that can be taught... And eventually I think he can be a Jed Collins.

ad played some important snaps at fullback today. he was in there on some of those 3rd and shorts and i know i saw him pushing kap forward for a first down. its way better than not seeing the field at all except on special teams, but when you are behind frank gore, you have to know your role. he seems to be a contributor and in coach number 2, you have to defer to their knowledge and considering he rarely gets a tailback carry, i think its safe to assume there is a hole in his game. two nfl coaches have decided not to incorporate him more into the gameplan. they are finding a use for him and trying different things, which tells me they want him with the team, so there is that.

i have to agree in your sentiment that i wish he had more of an opportunity to prove himself, but we are on the outside looking in. i think he could be a legarrette blount type player and in reality, i think they have very similar run styles, but he is behind frank gore and thus the lack of desperation to try to find a viable rb. he needs a team willing to take a chance. its really hard to get in a rhythm as a rb coming in for a play or two every other series without consistent reps.

He makes some damn good plays on ST and he throws some mean *** blocks.

I'm proud of AD because his attitude is terrific. He plays his *** off where he's needed, and he appears to have a blast doing it. He is a team player from the word go. Hope he gets a ring this year!

It still amazes me how much fans love AD. A guy came in a year later from JUCO and had almost the same stats, and there are players every season who have success... Yet AD is a god among men when he comes to visit us.

I'm not complaining, I just think it's funny. Goes to show that if you have a good attitude and engage fans of a university you will become immortalized. AD 4 recruiting coordinator!!!!

The interview is great. Up until when I graduated I still saw him in the union. The last time I asked him what he was doing in Starkville and he said "chillin'". Later that day I saw him on the drill field hanging out with some sorostitutes trying to raise money for one of their 1000 charities.

Dixon 4 mayor!

Boobie had a ballin' senior year (not to mention career, which he finished in the top 10 all time in the SEC), and he played his heart out in every game. He had more rushing yards in the regular season than the Heisman trophy winner, while playing 1 less game (behind a far inferior O-line, mind you).
What I love about AD is he always takes the opportunity to promote MSU. If you notice, whenever he scores a TD (which isn't often lately, granted), he does the dog pound rock.

I'm not amazed in the least. He's an in-state guy who chose us when were less than good, could have gone a lot of places but chose State, busted his hump for four years, save for one suspension from a DUI he was pretty much a model teammate or so it appeared, tons of personality and charisma, hard working and highly productive on the field, and once moving on to the NFL he has continued to support MSU. He deserves every positive thing we can give back to him at this point. I hope our other NFLers follow his lead and that we as a university continue to welcome all these guys back to campus. And for those who don't have their degrees, if we aren't already working on a plan to help them do that, I hope we start very soon.
