medium rare with sea scallops, and I am a big fan of the steak fries. I am pretty simple. I usually lean toward a crown and 7 or during warmer times, Lazy Magnolia Indian Summer.

Other things that I have tried that are excellent:
Bacon scallop app
Crab Cakes
Yellowfin and several fish specials I have had are great.
Every steak on the menu is fantastic.
I don't think I have had anything there that I would not order again.

I will say that in the past year or so, my body is telling me that I cannot drink dark liquor anymore. I used to be able to put back 8-9 crown and 7's at a party or dinner but I can drink just one now and have an awful hangover. No problem with beer or vodka but cannot handle the dark stuff.

Also cannot drink it by itself over ice because it give me immediate heartburn so bad that I don't care to eat or drink anything else. Just one sip will do it to me.

also the baked Kibbee (as you mentioned) and hummus are really good appetizers as well.

The banana rum bread pudding is great for dessert.

The hangover is almost solely due to dehydration. A glass of water between each drink will almost univerally avoid a hangover. Problem being, no one does that so the other option is to drink 3 large glasses of water when you get home (very difficult to do if you're drunk).

Better yet - just drink more water in general, all the time. Especially the day before and the day of your night of drankin.

There are way too many wive's tales and myths about hangovers. It is simple dehydration. Water, water, water, and more water.

Ely's didn't have room for our corporate get together so had to go across the street to Parker House... Was little bummed, but the food was still good.

Maya: ‘Seriously, the ’61 Perrier is peaking… it might be too late already. What are you waiting for?’
Miles: ‘I don’t know, a special occasion. With the right person.’
Maya: ‘The day you open a ’61 Perrier, that’s the special occasion.’
Can't believe I actually quoted Sideways.

Drinking water will take care of most of your hangover, but it doesn't prevent the buildup of acetaldehyde except to the extent it slows your consumption of alcohol.

Here's a little factoid someone shared with me the other day. And I have run the numbers and it actually bears out:

If you bought a $1.39 bottle of water at the convenience store, you could fill up that bottle at home every day with tap water for the next 10 years, and spend less than what you paid initially.

I have a built-in filter on my fridge and one behind it before the water gets to the fridge( the ole double filtration system). I put a glass of tap water beside a glass of water from my fridge and you could clearly see the difference in the two.

if you have netflix streaming - it's on there. Really opens yours eyes about the bottled water industry.

Basically zero regulation for bottled water. Your tap water at least goes through gov't regulation.
