Any Firefox users experiencing SLOW Sixpack?

I'm running firefox 3.6 and in the last week or two I've noticed several times that when I try to load threads/pages from sixpack the browser will sort of 'seize up' for anywhere from 10 seconds to almost a minute. I've gotten an error message about 25% of the time telling me my adobe flash plugin has crashed, but I don't see any updates for it.

Anyone have any thoughts or insight into this?

So I installed Ad Blocker Plus. It takes some setup, but if you are computer savy at all, within 15 minutes you should have ABP w/ firefox loading SPS very quickly.

Its not the amount of ads, apparently. Looks to me like the ads are both high-bandwidth and they're coming from slow ad servers as well.

It has been happening to me for 4 weeks now. The computer freezes up for 1 minute and then a error message pops up.

I've noticed when loading pages and during the pauses, in the bottom left hand corner of the screen it says "transferring from www.whatever.com" or it says "waiting on www.screwthis.com". I'm guessing those are ads and that's what's causing the wait.
