I got all 3 seasons as a present, and I absolutely love the show. If you havent seen it, you need too. Much better than the movie

a season and kind of lost touch. For the first season or two, I wouldn't miss it. And you are right, it is much, much better than the movie. Wish I could catch up with what has transpired over the last couple of seasons.

We really like Smallville, especially the first few seasons. We watched the first four or five seasons on DVD, then caught up to the TV show.

We watched the first 5 seasons of "Alias" on DVDs in about a month and a half from Netflix until we caught up to the TV show. On DVD, several times we'd get so caught up we'd find ourselves watching 3-5 episodes in a row.

Watching TV shows on DVD is so much better, even better than Tivo. Great picture quality, no commercials, and you can watch as many as you want.

We haven't watched Friday Night Lights on DVD, we've been watching it on satellite. Great show.

i'm about to start season 3, but i thought season 1 was one of the best seasons of tv i've seen

it's a pretty accurate portrayal of small town america too

But I'm excited to see where they go with it. The 2 year extension gives them freedom to do a few things now. They may not be all that good this year, but they could be dangerous the next (that's just an example of what they could do). But i'm just ready to find out what direction they'll go. I just hate I have to wait that long to find out

A friend of mine (state grad) was doing a podcast during the NBC season for it. I think it was www.fnlpodcast.com.

Friday Night Lights is great - especially seasons 1 and 3 (2 has a very weak first half). Good news is that it has been renewed for 2 more years. Bad news is that new episodes will not start until next summer, unless you have directtv.

i was pissed too, but i guess they needed a curveball of some sort to keep the show interesting. just going one football season to the next could get monotonous. they have lots more storylines to choose from now.</p>

Seriously, what school is going to fire a coach who makes it to the playoffs 100% of the time, the state championship 66% of the time, and wins said championship 33% of the time? Unless said coach does something stupid like punch out a player or run a kid 60 times in a single game. Now we'll get the hellbent revenge angle. Not to mention him having to coach a team of scrubs after the redistricting done to protect Dillon. Although I have a suspicion he might get an investigation into that launched in order to get himself a couple of real players. And will Tammy quit at Dillon to take over as principal at East Dillon now? I think yes, but we'll have to wait and see.

I think he's gonna figure out some way to get a few studs away from Dillon. They did say that this school was basically "the other side of the tracks" so perhaps they'll be those surprising diamonds in the rough players there... i'm just ready to watch, and see what in the world they're going to do with it.
