I was wondering if any football games will be played on their old field this year? Will the school be in use? Just wondering and thank you for your help.

You should be seeing some of the facilities that relate to athletics and recreation increasingly coming "online" to participants in Frankfort Square Park District programs. Beyond that, availability will be made to all LW 210 residents and their needs. The fieldhouse and adjacent fitness rooms seems to be most activated at this point. Due to expense of keeping it operational, pool yet to be in public operation. Tennis courts should periodically be used fall/spring for HS tournament satellite sites. Academic wings not in play to date.
Most of the small number of paid FB staff (8) from the LWN program have been absorbed by the 3 other campuses, including the former head coach landing as an assistant at West. Have not heard or read about any major assignments of the beautiful game field/track.

It is heartbreaking to say the least.I remember back in the 80's many schools closed or were consolidated that were not even seeing their 20 year anniversary.Yet LWN tops them all and I heard the new Belvedere North is also in danger due to low enrollment

Belvidere North has a higher enrollment than the original BHS. Been lots of rumors the last 2-3 years about combining back into one high school. Closing a couple grade schools, and then moving kids around between middle schools and the existing elementaries to make things more cost effective for the district.

There is currently some discussion of splitting the district into 2 completely seperate K-12 districts.
Eliminates a tremendous amount of administrative duplication.
