I watched my first MLS game last night with the Portland Timbers and I have to say I am very impressed. The atmosphere in Portland was outstanding. Are all the stadiums like the Portland Timbers one? If so I will be watching many more MLS games from here on.

with a stadium size of 25-30K. It makes the atmosphere great.

And Seattle still plays in the football stadium but they get 45K for a game.

It's just south of Minute Maid Park across I-59. Looks pretty neat from the outside (and it does appear small, which will let it create a pretty rowdy atmosphere).

Even back before they joined the MLS and were playing in the minor league both of their games were a lot of fun to watch. And when they play each other it ramps up even more. I think one day I'm just going to take a week and visit the northwest and take in a game at each place.

The Dynamo stadium was designed by the same firm that designed the 2008Beijing Olympic Stadium aka the Birds Nest. The damn thing looks hideous now and I hope it improves. Regardless it will be a great venue. Though East Downtown is gentrifying rapidly, I am not sure I would want to park my car on a side street down there. Too bad its a pretty good walk to the Metro Rail since I live pretty close the rail.<div></div>
