Consider the most popular rifle in the country, America's rifle, the AR-15. Buy readily available milspec parts independently or from a kit and assemble it yourself with just a few basic tools. Learn your rifle that way. Or just buy one pre-built. Custom mods are near endless. You'll have a rifle that can take all the hell you want to put it through, easy to clean and maintain, and satisfies many uses. You'll probably have a little trouble finding decent ammo these days, so buy what you can if you can afford it. And stock up on magazines. The demorats usually start with banning mags to limit you to only 10 rounds per mag. Idiocy, since a mag change can be done in 2 seconds, plus deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.Me. Thinking about getting a rifle. Never owned a gun only fired one in Basic Training.
Would never want to shoot anyone but times they are a changing
Says the anonymous poster hiding behind a keyboard.Ah, yes. Time for all the cowards to arm themselves.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but who can tell me about flying with a pistol?
Travelling domestically and Internationally? What are the rules and how do you do it?
TIA
What kind of prices are you guys paying for ammo? Suppliers here in South Georgia are pretty much price gouging us. I paid $50 yesterday just for one 50-count box for my .45 ACP. That’s almost double what I use to pay.
I bought one of these last year. at the time i could have bought a 25rd clip for about $15. now you can’t find one, and the last ones i saw available were three or four times that. Was looking at one these today in a hardwood stock.

Domestically, at least, it is shockingly easy. You have to have a hard case with a TSA lock (less than $20 on Amazon), put the pistol unloaded in the case and lock it, and declare it when you check in. I think you can fly with up to 50 rounds as long as it is stored outside of the case.
I have no idea internationally.

I cannot find ammo anywhere right now. Anyone know any online stores that have it in stock?
