I worked at McDonalds on New Circle Road when hamburgers costs $0.15 and french fries $0.10. Cokes were a dime
No drug screening because nobody knew what drugs were. We could smoke anytime we desired but I don't smoke so I just watched.![]()
My Pops (1936) and still playing golf 3 days a week said he smoked pipes and cigs but in the early 70’s just quit. He never smoked the good stuff, but I have made up for him and a few others. My father (born in 48) always told me he never smoked because he had enough fun just watching the ones that did act like idiots.
Curious which of you I know? I’m sure someone on here…..
Know a guy named Trevor?I worked at KLair from 1999-2001.
Worked at the Paddock in mid around '04-'05 (college roommate has owned it for better part of 20 years)...worked at a restaurant that was next door to it, Fresh Bite. Was also working as a bank teller and radio producer at ESPN then.
4 jobs...all to survive. Didn't last long though.
Not a ton of restaurant experience for me.
I was more retail...Abercrombie during the hayday in early to mid '00's.
Also was a friend of Bellini's owner back in the day.
Bellinis. Bar manager; also worked for liquor company in Lex.From where?

YES! Loved Burger Broil. Was devastated one year when I came home on leave at Christmas and it was gone. The indignity of being replaced with a McDonalds. Also remember Tommy's Hotdogs. One on Harrodsburg Rd near Campbell House and one on Nich. Road near KFC at Pasadena (Stone Rd back then) intersectionAs a kid I thought it would be nice to work at the Burger Broil that used to be on Harrodsburg road. I loved their chili dogs.
Definitely stumbled into K-Lair stoned for spicy chicken many evenings in 2001. Thank you for your service.I worked at KLair from 1999-2001.

I’m up at 3:45 every day. 5:00 on weekends.Haha. Yeah, I worked in the mornings mostly. Hardly ever worked a night. I've always been a weirdo and get up ridiculously early...hence my 5am reply.
I would starty shift there at 5:30-6:00...work the breakfast shift....primarily cash register. Off my 8:30-9:00, back to Haggin for a shower and then off to class.
I was there, a lot, in 96. I can’t believe they closed her up.I worked at Two Keys for the 96 run and it was sheer insanity.

Yep, a short hike from Holmes Hall were I was housed.Does anyone remember Ollie's Trolley on UK's campus ... at the corner of Lime and Euclid? That would have been in the mid to late seventies, I'm guessing.
You’re one tough SOB! CB can take your soul if you’re not carefulBeen cooking @ Cracker Barrel for the last 12 years. I like it rough apparently, but I make good money so there's that.
Looks like it was just you and I ... maybe why they went out of business? I could have sworn I was buying enough burgers to support it myself. LOL.Yep, a short hike from Holmes Hall were I was housed.
