I may be wrong, but before it's over Brandon Hill is going to be a 17in weapon at TE.

For the first time in my life, we have a QB depth chart that looks like an SEC QB depth chart. I mean, damn, we're only two years removed from Tyson Lee and nobody.

Safety position is loaded.

Practice is efficient, energized, takes another step forward as it did from Spring 1 to Spring 2.

They had some times today when all of them were making the throws. Another thing that stood out to me was how big Robert Johnson is. He looks more like a tight end. Not saying whether he'll be good or not but his size surprised me. I'm only worried about both sides of the line. Watching the line today made me worry about replacing Sherrod.

We have no LBs, DEs, and lose 2 anchors on our OL.

It's just gonna be hard to replace those guys in my opinion.

Ws - Memphis, Auburn (Maybe), La Tech, UAB, UK, UTMartin, Ole Miss

But I think we will win one of our big ones at home this year over either Bama, LSU, or SC. I would be thrilled if it was LSU if we took Auburn the game before that, we would start the season 3-0. @UGA is winnable. They lost some valuable parts too. That will be a pretty evenly matched game.

I think we can win all 4 nonconference, beat Ole Miss, win 2 out of our 4 road games against UGA, UK, Arky, and Auburn, and win 1 home game out of LSU, Bama, and SC. We are due for a home win after almost beating LSU, Arkansas, and Auburn in the past 2 years. That's 8-4, and I don't think it's as hard as people make it out to be. We have good talent on this team, but alot of the fan base is scared because in past years losing seniors has been a huge blow.I highly doubt we see Dan Mullen field a team that isn't ready to competeagainst SEC teams

We have six teams we should be a good bit better than. We have 3 teams that we should be reasonably close to (maybe 4, as I'm not exactly sure what to expect with Arkansas), andwe're getting to the point wherean upset of the remaining three wouldn't be a huge shocker outside of the indian burial ground factors. 6-6 would be thelow end of my expectations. I'm expecting 7-5, with Auburnor USCe being my guess as towhich of the 3toss ups we win. Iexpect a small step back after losing our LT, best DE, and two NFL linebackers, butdo you really expect our team tostart underachieving after what you've seen the past two years?

Should Wins - Memphis, LaTech, UAB, Tennessee Martin, UK, Ole Miss

Could Wins - Auburn, USCe, UGA

Shouldn't wins - LSU, Alabama, Arkansas

We lose key players, and it's going to be hard to replace them, mainly Sherrod, but we are much better and more experienced in key areas(QB, WR, RB, DL, Secondary) and our staff will make adjustments to help mask any defficincies. There is always going to be somebody that steps up nobody was expecting. I think we are all going to be really surprised at LB this year. I worry the most about replacing JC and Sherrod, but I don't think we are going to miss a beat on defense. Luckily all of the depth and experience coming back at the skill positions will help off set the OL losses.

I feel that they benifitted from the scheme tremendously. Obviously, they're talented... but maybe they looked much better because of the scheme.

I hope I'm right... cause otherwise, it could be a long year on defense next season.</p>

Show me another team in the SEC that returns 100% of its offensive output on the ground, 100% of its offensive output through the air and almost 100% of its offensive output receiving.

Granted, we have holes to fill, but we return more starters than any other team in the west.

Yes I know Wilson worked with Diaz, but no two coaches are going to scheme and react identically. I have faith and confidence in Chris Wilson, but that's just another adjustment that has to be made.

Memphis, Auburn, La Tech, UAB, Kentucky, Tenn Martin, Ole Miss = all lock solid W's IMO. Thats 7 wins set in stone. I think we have a good shot at beating Georgia and Arkansas. We never win in Little rock though. Auburn will be in for a rough 6 - 7 win season. Bout to come back down to earth minus the most dominate college football player in decadescarryingthem on his back.<div>
</div><div>A good interior line can make averagelinebackerslook really good so I am not as concerned as Iwouldbe if we didn't have Boyd and Cox down there.</div><div>
</div><div>I say 8 winsregularseason hopefully a 9th with a bowl win.</div>

Not only does Auburn lose Newton and Fairly, the lose 4 out 5 OL, Fannin, Zachery, Kodi Burns, Antoine Carter (starting DE), Mike Blanc (Fairly's back up), Clayton (other starting DT), two LBs in Stevens and Bynes, both starting Ss in Savage and Etheridge and a starting CB. Auburn will be the 2011 version of Texas from this past season.

Because of this, I would slide the Auburn game into the more probable W category.

LSU and Bama will both be loaded again, although both teams lose key players to the NFL. I dont know much about Arkansas, but they will have a new QB under center. He looked good at times last year and he looked terrible at times last year.

Ole Miss loses a lot on the defensive side of the ball and will be replacing two deep with RFresh and JUCOS. Will they be better than last year on defense? Possibly, but couple the inexperience with Nix's incompentence and I think the Rebels are in for another long season. QB is another huge area of concern. The Rebels have options, but they have brought in a bunch of QBs with very different skill sets. This tells me they do not even know what type of offense they are going to run next year.

Anyway, I see us being no worse than 7-5 and more than likely 8-4 again with a chance to be 9-3. I think Mullen gets his W against the west this year (not counting Ole Miss).</p>

He declared early because he has 4 kids and needs money. They have Dyer and McCaleb and that's pretty much it, and even then they lose 4 starting OL. They will be in serious trouble next year.

I am actually fairly optimistic about the 2011 season. Call me a homer if you want.

And yes, for those of us that cannot make it to any practices, updates are welcome.
