So what’s the point in dragging this out a year?We soon forget how bad our football team was when he was hired. He has improved our team immensely but I question whether he’s smart enough to take the next step. Recent evidence says no.
IF you think he won’t succeed here are the reasons:So what’s the point in dragging this out a year?
To each his own, but when you're talking about a roster so bad last year that many don't even want to count it as year 1 for Lebby, I can't give credit to a coaching staff for doing nothing more than getting this team back to bare minimum 5-win season expectations. Poor history or not, we're an SEC program with a Top 30 budget that should NEVER be talking about anything lower than 4-5 win basement level expectations for a football season, and yet here we areWe soon forget how bad our football team was when he was hired. He has improved our team immensely but I question whether he’s smart enough to take the next step. Recent evidence says no.
Does anything in our past head coach hiring practices lead you to believe that we would improve our prospects? We are not going to be able to hire a known commodity, at least not this year, too many better jobs available. Do we take a gamble on another basically unknown commodity or do you stick with Lebby and hope he figures it out? Firing him cost money further handicapping the process of improving. Keeping him alienates the fan base that ultimately costs money further handicapping the process. I don’t know what the answer is but I’m glad I’m not responsible for making the decision. So what’s the point in dragging this out a year?
How many of that Top 30 are in the SEC? That national fact doesn't really mean much for us. You need to look at where our budget is in the SEC. THAT is our reality. To each his own, but when you're talking about a roster so bad last year that many don't even want to count it as year 1 for Lebby, I can't give credit to a coaching staff for doing nothing more than getting this team back to bare minimum 5-win season expectations. Letting prospective coaches know we won't give them time to build is why we find ourselves in this predicament.IF you think he won’t succeed here are the reasons:
1. Money.
2.Money.
3. letting prospective coaches know we will give them more than 2 years.
If we get blown out? We’re talking like 2008 type beating. I really don’t understand why we would have to keep him if that is the case
There is no such thing as "building" anymore. A coach can either procure a roster in the offseason with the portal using the amount of money provided by our boosters, or he can't.Letting prospective coaches know we won't give them time to build is why we find ourselves in this predicament.
Yes. When they find the dead hooker in his trunk Wednesday, he will be fired. If we get blown out? We’re talking like 2008 type beating. I really don’t understand why we would have to keep him if that is the case
Oh no, it’s all Mike Leach’s fault Lebby can’t win a game, the morons have established this fact*There is no such thing as "building" anymore. A coach can either procure a roster in the offseason with the portal using the amount of money provided by our boosters, or he can't.

It happened to Croom. I always heard that he was set to come back until 45-0.If we get blown out? We’re talking like 2008 type beating. I really don’t understand why we would have to keep him if that is the case
It doesn’t matter how bad the football team was when he was hired. In case you haven’t heard, the rules have changed. We soon forget how bad our football team was when he was hired. He has improved our team immensely but I question whether he’s smart enough to take the next step. Recent evidence says no.
I don't think he'll survive if we take another a$$ pounding. It'll be bad enough if it's close, but I think being totally unprepared (which is what I'm expecting) will be a fireable offense. At the very least a couple or eight assistants. But would Lebby be proactive enough to even do that?If we get blown out? We’re talking like 2008 type beating. I really don’t understand why we would have to keep him if that is the case
The only one in favor of keeping him, was our AD.It happened to Croom. I always heard that he was set to come back until 45-0.
The budget is sufficient to attract someone more qualified than an unproven OC.How many of that Top 30 are in the SEC? That national fact doesn't really mean much for us. You need to look at where our budget is in the SEC. THAT is our reality.
Are you ******* kidding me? There aren’t many coaches who would turn down $4.25MM/year with a $10MM buyout. Some of you people think its still 1985.Letting prospective coaches know we won't give them time to build is why we find ourselves in this predicament.
Is it?The budget is sufficient to attract someone more qualified than an unproven OC.
That will attract some coaches for sure. Are you ******* kidding me? There aren’t many coaches who would turn down $4.25MM/year with a $10MM buyout. Some of you people think its still 1985.
And yet year in and year out, we know that we can bank on 2-3 SEC programs being complete dumpster fires due to some toxic mix of incompetent administration and trigger happy boosters. The only questions is which 2-3 it will be amongst the group of Auburn, Ark, SCar, UT, etcHow many of that Top 30 are in the SEC? That national fact doesn't really mean much for us. I didn't say anything about winning 10 games. I said that our floor should consistently be 4-5 wins, and I'm not going to celebrate any MSU coaching staff for managing to get to that level
Yep, trigger happy boosters are a problem. And yet year in and year out, we know that we can bank on 2-3 SEC programs being complete dumpster fires due to some toxic mix of incompetent administration and trigger happy boosters.
