Any reason for future hope with the upcoming recruiting class?

as hotdigity said, we need a few guys like Newton and Wells to make this a decent class. In 2011 we already have two great pickups with some linebacker that was offered by Ole Miss and lsu, and a O lineman that is in the 150.</p>

we need to rush the passer, but with a QB, this team is competing.

We ran for 311 yds today. 311. And they knew we were running. This staff is legit.

studying our roster show that the only high impact seniors we lose are:
1) Anthony Dixon
2)Jamar Chaney

Sure, we lose a starting OL and a starting DB with a couple of DT's who play, but none of those guys are particularly good. Everyone one else who matters is an underclassman. What we really need from JUCO ranks are a starting QB, a starting TB, a starting DL, one or two starting DB's, and a couple of OL and a wide receiver who can get playing time early even though not necessarily start. I think we can go the high school route everywhere else.

Any of you recruitniks care to discuss what we have lined up to fill the holes I listed (inaccurately or not) above?

it's all about signing/bribing/kidnapping a QB who can run this offense.

All of these 2 stars like Jameon Lewis, Antwon Chisholm, Brandon Hill, and Malcolm Johnson are all legit. They just haven't been evaluated at combines yet. Eulls and Bohanna are good guys to build a class around. Once these guys get done with their seasons, and is gets time to go to combines, I think you will see some of these guys jump up. I think Ballard and Bolden could both end up as 4 stars, along with Neal and Bohanna. Mullen has had practice at Florida evaluating talent early, so I trust that he sees something in the guys we have signed so far that lead me to believe hes got some good talent in this group of guys.

Lose Dixon which is big negative. MIGHT be better at QB, but who knows. Newton might not come, Russell will be green, Stegall is an unknown and Relf sucks. Another tough schedule so another 4-8 record could be possible. Hope not though. Mullen's 3rd year should be a break out year. We can only hope.

manageable home schedule. We had 3 teams this year (FL, AL & GT) that we just weren't going to beat without some strange things happening no matter where we played them. LSU was close to that category and we almost pulled that one off. Its just tough to have THAT many home games wasted on teams you just aren't likely to beat anywhere. Next year we replace those with GA, Auburn, Ark and KY. All 4 of those are more winnable than ANY of our 4 SEC home games this year save maybe OM and OM is likely as tough this year as anyone of that 4 will be next year. Combine that with only one tough OOC game (@Houston) and I still think next year's schedule is much more manageable. Even though next year @Bama, @FL, @LSU & @OM are likely losses, the other 8 games are all winnable. Would be nice too if Case Keenum would make himself eligible for the NFL draft.

commits for this year will not be going to anymore combines so that will not be the reason their ratings go up. the only way their rating goes up is based on their senior year. think about it, they would have no reason to go to a combine this summer, they might already be in college by then. only juniors(or younger) that are going to be seniors go to combines
