It all comes back to Stans not winning our early season OOC games vs inferior talent year after year. We have toschedule tougher OOC teams and beat the ones we are supposed to(Rider, Rhicmond & WKU).Our RPI and horrible SOS are what cost us yesterday. We should not have been having to play our way in yesterday, the selection committee made up their minds last Thursday.
You are absolutely right. We've got to do all we can to bump the SOS up. I think it's very clear now that we have to improve the scheduling.
But, I did learn something this weekend. A good coach is locked somewhere in that big noggin' of Rick Stansbury's. I just wish he'd figure out how to replicate those efforts throughout the season rather than saving it up for 3 games in the SECT. It's frustrating.
However, I still don't have any issue with him being the guy to throw it in. Riley is capable of making a pass. In that situation, I'd rather have our fastest athletes on the floor working to get open rather than Riley getting swallowed up by a decent defender and being rendered useless.
