Any thoughts on Appomattox Alleghany??

I watched one of Alleghanys games. They run the pistol looks like with recievers sometimes split out and sometimes one or two wings in tighter. Use motion and misdirection and run the ball mainly but will throw some also. Just don't think they have the speed to stay with Appo. In James River game they lost in OT. They threw 10 and out on first series that was picked and did it again in second series but was pick six by James River that time. Third series they pumped a short throw with James River jumping first two routes and snuck tight end down middle for long completion. Have decent size on lines but nothing tremendous. Heard they were young and looked pretty decent just don't think they can hang with Appo especially with that long bus drive. May hang for half but think Appo pulls this one out by at least 2-3 tds if not more.
Calpreps has this game as 28-22 Appomattox. That projection seems to close to me. Seems like it should be more like 14 points instead of 6.
Alleghany has improved since earlier in the year but I would be surprised if they are within 28. Speed really hurts them. Also school is overwhelmed with flu this week & not sure if all players will be ready to play. Really nasty bug being passed around!
28-7 Appo Even in a down year for Appo and a somewhat up year for Alleghany, this game likely won't be close. Check back in on Alleghany in 2-3 years. I have a feeling they will be making noise once the consolidation starts to bear fruit. There is talent there once you get it all on one team.
I hate to hear that. Our boys at LB struggled with that flu bug a few weeks ago when we played Franklin County. It’s no joke and no fun at all. Hoping Allegheny is at full health for their game.

Appo 35-14. Alleghany is much improved and they have some pretty good young athletes, but don't have the discipline to beat a team like Appo. Look for them to be very good really fast after they merge with Covington

Dang I was close !
The injury was from the Gretna game and has been sidelined since. Not sure but think it's a hamstring issue.
