NCAA SECURITY POLICY (INCLUDING ARTIFICIAL NOISEMAKERS AND ALCOHOL)
The 2013 NCAA Baseball Championship is an NCAA event, hosted by Mississippi State University. As such, Mississippi State must comply with NCAA rules and regulations set forth for host institutions. Additional security measures from regular season games will be in place.
The NCAA Division I Baseball Committee states “Artificial noisemakers (air horns, cowbells, electronic instruments, etc.) are not permissible.”
It further says “no alcoholic beverages shall be delivered, sold or dispensed for public consumption anywhere in the competition venue, nor shall any such beverages be brought to the site during the championship (i.e., during the period from the time access is available to spectators until all patrons have left the stadium).”
As such, all bags and coolers brought to Polk-Dement Stadium are subject to search.
I wouldn't expect UVA to be lax with the enforcement of these rules. The first one anyway.
Leave it in the car and ring it after the game (if we win).
