I asked him there

Well I saw him the other day at extravaganza with team signing autographs just didn't know anything was set in stone yet

He said he wasn't sure and TR said "ya right" and gave him a sacastic look.

It would be great to have him back another year gives us some depth and is one our better lineman when healthy

He'll be back, but I don't expect to see him in the lineup hardly ever. Don't medical redshirts not count against your scholarship count? He provides a leadership role, something the OL in my opinion lacks.

Lacks leadership? Did you notice that Jackson and Siddoway were both Srs? Day and Clausell both Jrs? Then Malone as a rising RSo with a year of starts under his belt? Did you also happen to notice that we have a Sr and 2 other Jrs backing up those aforementioned starters?

Leadership is not going to be a problem on the OL in 2013 or 2014.

You can keep an injured player on scholarship and not have it count towards your limits, but if you do, the player is permanently ineligible to play.

Letters don't necessarily equal leadership. Tobias is a coach out there. We have a battle tested OL and they're good at what they do, but Tobias has a leadership ability I don't think any of them have... and I say that as a recent graduate who has been around these guys. The OL "hangs out" more than any group of guys. Not a bad thing... just pointing out that everyone knows them. Tobias carries himself a lot differently than the rest of them is my point.

And you can go back to a lot of quotes from numerous players throughout the season saying how important Tobias was to the locker room.

One of our captains of the baseball team was a sophomore. Again, letters don't necessarily equal leadership. When it comes down to it I don't see one guy on the OL that is captain material except Tobias.
