Anybody catch Ole Miss-West Virginia last night?

Ole Miss was suprisingly playing way better than I expected. David Juertes (sp?) was nailing threes all night. Chris Warren played pretty good but he was pretty much the reason they lost.

The game went back and forth until the last 9 seconds when Chris Warren dribbled the ball off his knee and out of bounds. Typical AK coached team.

Side Note: They would have beat our asses last night.

Rebs had 23 rebounds (6 off).

WVU had 31 rebounds (19 off) 19 offensive rebounds! That offset WVU's 16/33 performance from the FT line

I did here from several people later on though that Ole Miss did look better than expected.... That is not good news i might add.

an inside presence in both scoring and rebounding. Its going to take more than Warren and Huertas to beat most good teams.

Correct. It just seemed to me they were playing with fire under their asses last night. Very unexpecting to me. I thought those injuries had put the nail in the coffin but I guess not.

AK will still find a way to blow any hope of dancing. Trust me on that

they're notorious for playing horribly on the road...i don't think they make it at all. they already lost to utah.

they just didn't look like a good college basketball team to me. warren and huertas are both very good, and if they're both on, the it'll open up things for the rest of the team. but i think the rest of the team lacks both skill and experience. they'll go as far as warren and huertas can take them. i don't think they'll make the ncaa's - i have a feeling the sec slate will be tough for them.

We won't make the NIT unless we start playing better. I see some progress in some of our young players, but we're really hurting on the front line. If I had Malcolm White's ability, I'd be all SEC. He's not as good as he was last year. Maybe he's put too much pressure on himself, I don't know.

Ole Miss shot nearly 60% from the field and 80% from the line and lost at home. Their defense and rebounding will get them killed on the road or against most teams when not shooting lights out.

Ole Miss will struggle in the SEC with no inside game.
I have a strange feeling we might do the same, at least Stans wants us to work on our rebounding fundamentals.
At least we have SWAT in the middle, M. White is a fouling machine.
Huertas is solid as you could want in a guard.
How about that player from WV(Malz..) with his left shoulder hanging and still playing, that kid has some heart.

Warren cost them any chance last night.
Missed the front end of a 1 and 1, then a TO and a missed 3 pointer when he could have driven to the hole, there was plenty of time on the clock.
Warren is like J-Money and Gary Irvin all rolled into one.

ever again. He's gone and my life if better not having to watch him play.
