I want us to win, but won't deny the good that could come out of a loss. Rock bottom is a necessity in some cases.

We could be 0-12 and I"m afraid we'd still be stuck with SToopid for another year. Should we come back to win this game we'll probably get another letter from Mitch about how he and Capitulo believe Stoops is the man to lead the program, just like he did when Joker upset UT.

Stoops is like watching a bad preacher. Lots of gyrations but at the end everyone is still asleep.

This is what it will take to get rid of Stoops and Barnhart:

1. Stop going to games. Not just this one, but everyone until Stoops is gone. This won't get rid of Barnhart, but it will Stoops.

2. Continue to not go to games even when the new coach is hired. Make him prove that he is worthy of your hard earned money. If he is not and fans continue to stay away, the BoT will be forced to fire Barnhart and start again. At that point, fans might be able to go back, depending on the hire.

I think the first part is very doable and will continue until Stoops is fired. The second part is what troubles me. If we don't continue to stay away, which the administration doesn't think we will, then it's the same story again. Wash, rinse and repeat.

Unfortunately, I feel like it has come to this. If we continue to stay away until a new staff proves that we should be there, then nothing will change.

The worst thing that could happen for Kentucky football would be to luck into 5 wins and have to listen to how this team is sooooo close to the Promised Land of the Toilet Bowl.

I guess that means yes.
You're right, but I still have to cheer for them in any game.

Especially this game. We can NOT lose this game- it would be one of the most embarrassing losses in our history. It would be a national humiliation. It would be nearly as bad as a loss to Eastern would have been. We can win this game- we're still not going to win five, anyway.

Took a customer to the UL game today. UL is way past light years ahead of us. I shivered thinking
of playing them. We're a joke.

There has got to be at least one big time booster that cares about football right?

I respect that. But this season is lost. Don't you want to speed the change as much as possible?

Think of it this way: Stoops and Barnhart are like a rotting, gangrenous leg poisoning Kentucky football. You want to cut that off soonest, or wait a few years?

If we win, we'll probably end up 2-10 anyway.

Why would any booster want to give Mitch their millions? The first thing he'd do is funnel it to the women's basketball team. He's a terrible negotiater, terrible decision maker. He's just not cut out for the big leagues, but no one in the UK administration holds him accountable. Mitch is an expert at blame deflection and PR spin jobs. He's here for the long haul unless basketball does poorly for a few years

They say alcoholics and drug addicts have to hit rock bottom before they can start the climb back. Thats exactly where we are today.

GREAT analogy.

A true fan never cheers against their team!
Exactly. What an unbelievably selfish attitude it is to wish these kids, who are busting their humps for our university, lose. Also, many of you Mitch haters were, at one time, calling the Stoops hire a "home run." I suppose it is his fault he was not born with the gift of sight.

I agree with your Step 1, disagree with Step 2, depending on who the new coach would be.
