Anybody else a little nervous about Evan Mitchell vs Samford's bats/steroids?

Evan has had trouble with location since arriving on campus. In his first start this year, while successful, he was not located that well. This should be a good test for him as a weekend starter, but I will admit I'm a little nervous that we are going to have to score 7 or 8 runs to win today.

Hopefully today he will prove that he has the command to get it done.

Yes I am. Isn't he the kid that was hitting the back stop against Vandy last year. Some of the wildest pitching I have seen in a long time.

I doubt it, I like Evan but he is possibly the most inconsistent pitcher...

I like Evan. Think he could be our ace this year

on the entire staff. Will look great one inning and then the next he either can't find the strike zone or is missing his spots and getting hit hard.

You're right. I was thinking (hoping) butch had gotten Evan to turn the corner. If he ever solves control issues, watch out.
