I am honestly a believer that Dak'll be the guy BUT the news about Tyler's knee today bothered me. If we're going to run a different "type" of system this year (more passing) then Tyler needs EVERY snap he can get! He's never gotten the majority of the snaps in the spring. This was his time. Not now after the knee news today from Marshmellow. I guess the silver linning is that it'll give Dak more reps & will in-turn make him a better player. But sheesh, I don't like this & it kinda worries me a little. Just a little though.
Anybody else worried about Tyler & this spring?

Qbs are normally live in spring under Mullen. Now Tyler will still be in every situation but won't be hit. I know it's still not the same when you know you're not going to be hit, but he will still have the same amount of time to make decisions and so on...
When Dak takes over in '14, his back-up will be "The Guy". Not knocking you or your view, that's just the way it is and always has beenat MSU.
I'm worried more about the season in general. Unproven Qb with inexperienced offensive line. No more Vick Ballard...although I think our returning RB's will be impressive by season's end. Basically we just have a lot of question marks and unproven players at key positions. Right now I'd be surprised , and happy with a 7-5 or even 6-6 season. Hope I'm wrong but my hopes aren't as high as they were this time last year.
This team will live & die by the defense. I hate that we're so inexperienced on offense, but the D should more than make up for it.<div>

We have at least 6 starters returning (4 of which will be seniors with tons of experience) plus plenty of other guys with playing time from last year. We got an immediate impact JUCO DE, potential 2013 draft picks in Banks, Boyd, and Cam. My only real concern is will Whitley be 100% by August.</div><div>
