He's been benched since the last few games. Not a knock on Will, because I have no issues with at all, but this kid probably should've been playing all year.
Will was replaced by a freshman who they view was their future. Will is not hurting for cash because of NIL. Good Luck in your future, which I assume will be as a grad assistant. Jett was at UConn this year. I expect both will have success where ever they go.

He's jealous because Will is already richer than he will ever be.
Will got his time at state reduced to Juco, and the ncaa says he still has 3 more years eligibility, so he is entering the portal.

Rogers got benched because his interception to completion ratio was at about 5:1. His quality of play was just not good at all. But, the frosh kid is the future at UDub in any event.
In the interest of accuracy. He didn't play very well in his last couple of games against solid comp and he got beat out finally by a really good true freshman QB who was ready to take over.
He also led them to some good wins and threw for 2,500 yards, completing 71%. TD to int was 14 to 7.
What's he going to coach? He only knows about 7 plays, and all he can tell QBs is "throw to the green space".

We need a new Air Raid guru to carry the mantle now that Leach is dead. Everybody is essentially copycatting everybody else right now with this Baylor halfass RPO whatever playground ball stuff.
Of course when he’s ready, we won’t hire him because RuNdAbAwL so he will go win big elsewhere probably. Rogers could probably create a niche for himself.

Dawgzilla2 has a standard response which isn't surprising. The Alabama up the gut and a cloud of dust is heavily ingrained in the State mentality. We just won't win with that attitude. We won't outbid our SEC brethren for that style of football players. But, we can do it to appease the fans, lose and invest in basketball and baseball. The Ole hard heads will be happy that we rundaball while we do the end around on them.
There’s a lot of irony in folks complaining about the guy that holds damn near all the passing records at State.
It's not really irony. It's a sign of some minor (or in some cases major) mental illness.
