and that's why I added, at the end, that I think Bryan Bennett is a top ten guy and counted him in the mix. MS D-line talent this year is STOUT. So take off Rea and add Bennett.

So it appears we will get 6 of the 10, LSU 1, Auburn 1, Ole miss 2. Far from splitting like that other poster said. Thompson and Sanders could swing it for you, so let's just split that. 5-3 MSU. And we've gotten quite another number of guys you made efforts for - Giles, Lewis, etc.

I know we recruited Giles for a while and gave up when he showed no interest, but I honestly never heard we've had any interest in Lewis. We've never recruited any of the back half of the state's top 20. Virges, Carr, Love, Lewis...that's all you guys.

I do know a high school coach who thinks Virges ends up as the best O-lineman out of Mississippi this year.

after he started showing out this year. Don't think they came after him on or anything. Carr has always been an MSU lock and don't know that he ever allowed his recruitment to go anywhere, just a home body and a life-long fan. Yeah the other guys we just straight beat out Southern for.

As you can see, I'm not Rebelbruiser as I do indeed follow recruiting.

Regardless of how far Robinson's stock has fallen, I feel confident in the coaching he'd receive at state if he signs with us.

Gonna be hard for either Mississippi school to get, everywhere i've read they both loved florida state when they went on their visits. I dont understand this at all though, seems like every year fsu has a great recruiting class but every year they underachieve. I guess with bowden leaving alot of players are excited. who knows.

a lot of tradition and hardware they can show off (national title trophies and Heismans).. also the list of FSU players in the NFL over the years is impressive as well

and I don't see Sanders choosing anyone other than OM or State.

however, he seems to have a pretty good feel on the prospects this year. He said several weeks ago that Robert Johnson was leaning heavily to State and that the Ole Miss coaches were doing everything in their power to get back in the game. Recently he said that Ole Miss had a great visit with Robert at Oak Grove High School that may have gotten UM back in the game. A couple days later he posted that the excitement of the visit had worn off and that Robert was MSU bound.

For whatever reason, Yancy seems to have a real good feel with the MS prospects this year. He has even stated that there is not much to the Eulls visit. Even if Kaleb were to take a visit he thinks it is probably a lost cause. The only recruits I can think of him really missing on this year are Wes Rea and Nick Redmond (junior). Rea was supposedly a heavy Ole Miss lean then he up and commits to MSU baseball. He later posted that Nick Redmond grew up an Ole Miss fan and he was ours to lose. Redmond promptly committed to MSU.

Sure, Yancy is a homer and you have to take some of his stuff for what it's worth (a homer writer getting info from pro-Ole Miss sources). However, I think he has been pretty good for the current class. Thompson and Sanders will tell a lot.
