Anybody hear that Tony Hughes is Wilson's replacement?

where is Hughes now?

By the way, if you put "nm" (or "no message") in the body of the post, is there really no message, or isn't nm a message in itself?

Wilson never landed a ton of good recruits. Tony Hughes did.
That's one reason why I said on Nafoom last night that I didn't care that Wil$on left, because Hughes and Freeze both outrecruited him at Ole Miss and the majority of Usm's best recruits are being recruited by Hughes. Now, Ole Miss Grad said Wil$on was a closer, but hell I thought we already had one of those in $mith. So I guess I just don't see the big hoopla over Wil$son going to Tenn. Hell, he may have done us a favor if we land Hughes to replace him.

He also seemed to have better connections with coaches in North MS and LA. I also think that Hughes is a bit more dependable as a human being.

You guys seem to be worry a lot about this year and I don't understand that. You have a good class and are not likely to lose any of them from what I hear. Right now what you need is somebody to come in and organize your recruiting for next year.

Yeah, I had actually mentioned that last night that Wilson had only been here 2 weeks, so he wasn't going to make or break our class this year. Apparently, with Wilson being labeled the great recruiter, some feel he was going to bring in some surprise recruits this year, which is why some were worried about this year. Oh and the Conner connection, but I just don't see why any recruit would follow this guy, when he has been employed at 3 different schools in less than a month. I agree on somebody coming in and organizing for next year and I would definitely prefer Hughes over Wilson to do this. I really don't see why Wilson has gotten this great recruiter title, when it seems like it should have been given to Hughes.

Wilson didn't do **** outside of New Orleans. Hughes was a better recruiter. Not that it matters though. Either one would suck balls in Starkville.

I hate to break it to you, but if you can recruit to Oxford you can recruit to Starkville.

Don't ruin their fun. The Right Reverend is about to win a national championship.

I know. I had an OM fan tell me this week that Sneed and McCluster would probably both be invited to NYC for the Heisman ceremony next year, just like Leinart and Bush.

State has a solid class this year and there is no reason that can't happen consistently. Still, State will suck balls. It is what State does in football.

Serious question. How old are you? I understand your statement in the historical sense, but I'm 28 and neither team has been markedly better or worse than the other over the period of time I've given a ****.

And it only took one year of good football for these tools to come back out of hiding. We hear all last year how great it would be for both teams to be good again and the egg bowl to mean something... now "State will always suck balls in football". Congrats for absolutely tearing it up for the past 35 or so years and making the SEC jealous of your accomplishments.

Yep, nevermind that the three returning Heisman finalists all decided to come back.

For BOTH of them to get invited, McCluster would have to put up some really sick all purpose numbers, Snead would have to throw about 35 TDs and maybe 5 INTs, and we'd have to go undefeated.

So, your friend must have put a **** ton of vodka in his kool-aid.
