I like them and would like to have one day but they cost a lot to take care because of all their health problems.

that's just the down payment.... I love mine, but go ahead and start making payments to your favorite vet before you go pick the puppy up.

my mother is a breeder.... nothing leaves the house for less than $1800.... and she never has a problem selling the dogs. yes, they are that expensive. there is a ton that goes in to the breeding and raising of those dogs.

Yeah, these pups are pricey. I'd like to see a pic of the little devil. Been trying to talk myself into gettin one, just don't know if I have the money for a lab and a Bulldog.

Cause even If i cant afford one they are precious to look at..

Go to the e-mail, open the e-mail right click on the photo, save the photo to your desktop or somewhere where you CAN FIND IT.
After that, come back to the Pack, reply to a post and click the "insert image" button on the toolbar (it's
the 6th from the end...end being where it says Spellcheck)
Click "Create album" name it.. click on said new album
click "upload" and browse to where you saved the photo.
Upload and confirm it is in the album.
Select the photo and it will be inserted in the post.

Another way of doing this:

Then click on the album where you put your picture
click on the absolute location
copy what's in the address bar
Reply to a post
Click insert your image on the toolbar and click 'add from url'
Then pasted the address that you copied from the address bar
Click ok

Your picture should show up then.

My Olde English Bulldogge pup died yesterday of a heatstroke. I've been torn up over it. They're the best dogs you can have but you absolutely cannot let them outside in this 100+ degree weather.

I got mine when he was 2. The people I got him from had some family health issues and they didn't have the time or money (after paying a st. jude medical bill) to take care of him.

As far as the health issues someone mentioned, if you get one from a good breeder and healthy bloodline they don't have many more health problems than any other purebreed. Jack is AKC registered and from a championship bloodline. My parents have a male that is not from a good bloodline and he's cost them twice as much in vet bills than what they paid for him.

Edited to add: There is a breeder in Madison that sells some beautiful puppies if you're willing to fork over $3,000+ for a puppy. http://nightingalebullies.com/

Don't know what more we can tell you to do.
Click create album, a new page will pop up asking what you want to name it and settings and such.
once you make the album it will be there as a folder when you click on the images part of the top toolbar.

Most of the puppies have to be delivered by C-section, they need eye and nose surgeries, constant skin problems, sinus infections and yes they are short nosed dogs and can't stay in the heat. If you want to build a practice, give away bulldogs, boxers and dachshunds.

Pretty pup.

I bred my Boykin Spaniel last year and sold them for $500, even though I could have gotten $800 plus.

Yes they are high maintenance and yes they a high risk breed for big vet bills but paying for a championship bloodline usually nips the major problems in the bud. I bring mine to 2-3 games each year and his celebrity status in the Junction on gameday is something to behold:

Yeah, technically you are right. But I've had him running around in there several times since the ban was put into effect and haven't heard a word from anyone asking him to leave. He bears a decent resemblance to Tonka so half the people just assume he's Bully.

Last year at the Florida game some guys brought a dead (frozen) Gator that they thawed out into the Junction. I took him over to the Gator and he sniffed at it for a bit, causing a small mob of cameras/cell phones around him to record the scene. Mostly on Gamedays it's just kids who want to pet him and get their picture taken with him which he seems to enjoy/tolerate depending on how tired he is.

yeah not only do they have to be delivered by C-section ONLY, but they also can not be allowed to stay with their mother after birth due to the short noses and the fact that the mothers can and do roll over them and suffocate them.... bulldogs just dont make good mothers .....so until they are old enough to eat food, they have to be put on the mother every 3 hours all day everyday..... no matter where you are or what you or doing or what time of night it is.... EVERY 3 hours. so.... these are the many reasons why they are so pricey.... and as expensive as they are, the stud fees and such are extremely pricey as well.... so you may spend in upwards of 500 bucks on a stud fee (if you dont have your own stud).... and then only get 2 or 3 puppies. Bulldogs dont usually have large litters.... very seldom will they have 5 or more.... sometimes you may only get 1 or 2

here is my mother's site if anyone is ever interested.

http://www.impressivebulldogs.net/index.html

we had an amazing male that we lost to an untraceable spinal cancer last August.... at the time of his death last august, he was ranked the #1 male bulldog in the world.... he was posthumously invited to Westminster for last year's show..... only top 5 dogs per breed are invited.

TaTonka is a beautiful bulldog also and has much better coloring in my opinion than Champ.
Yours does have a close resemblance in the face, but Tonk has longer lips it appears..and rarely had that big of a smile on his face haha...plus a lot more white lower body.
I don't blame you on keep on bringing him either... as long as he is well trained and behaves and can stand the heat.. go for it..as you said, kids love him I'm sure.
