the best/worst threads got me to thinking about players that would've been stars had they just stuck around.

The All-Time 'would've been a Star' has to be Jim Cumberbatch. Played about 4 games in 1984, rushed for a little under 500 yds and called it quits. Transferred to a DIII school somewhere. Never understood that.

He got caught stealing something or another, and was booted off the team. Was an excellent running back, though.
