We appear to be at least a little improved and I doubt they are as good as last year. At home, I'll be very disappointed if we're not very competitive.

No, I donāt think thereās much chance that weāll be favored. The defense appears to be marginally improved, but theyāll still be at the bottom of the conference because thereās still very little talent on the line.
Then discipline and O line play still appear to be giant red flags, and youāre just not going to beat even mediocre teams with those problems. Maybe our coaching staff will clean those things up, but Iām not holding my breath

I'll wait till I see how much they miss Scattaboo tonight...I saw three of their games last year and I guess I'm the only person who thinks their QB is garbage .....
I was at our game today and just rewatched most of it ...the defense was much improved and the DBs are outstanding....iJones was an absolute blanket ....I know USM does not have power 5 WR's but AZ States WR are not very good either ..that being said the DL still could not get any pressure on the QB but did a fair job of containing a very mobile QB ...

I'm not sure a game against Northern Arizona is gonna tell us anything.
But I agree on Leavitt. I doubt he'll look as good this year with no Scatt in his backfield.

I had Matt and Neal on and Matt commented that we put all new D lines out a few times.
We rotated the hell out of the DL. Played lots of guys.
If we start the game the way we started the second half yes I think we will be victorious. And, if we do, Tennessee should be scared. Very scared.
We better beat Arizona State. According to composite talent posted here we have better talent which means it comes down to coaching. Lebby has his first real chance to prove himself with this game. We are at home which also gives us an advantage. Anybody got an eight ball they can question and shake?
