Anyone actually purchased tickets to the Chick-Fil-A yet?

Trying to figure out if it would be better to buy them early or wait until the bowl selection. Reasoning that if we don't get there it should be easy enough to sell them...

Anyone else looking to buy early or are you waiting it out?

You pick how many tickets you want for each possible bowl and go through the process of reserving them. The deadline was December 1st but it might/probably still work on the msuathletics.com website.

Even though it looks like you are being charged thousands of dollars forpurchasing ALL those tickets for all those bowls (the button even says 'purchase tickets now'), you aren't actually charged anything after going through the whole process. You will only be charged for the tickets you selected for the bowl we actually get in when it is official.

I'm talking Stubhub or through CFA site.

Looking to buy 4 tickets to take the kids to their first bowl game. CFA has a nice VIP package, but didn't really plan on dropping $1k on them. Stubhub looks like there are plenty available for less than the per person of the VIP package, but I'm sure that they don't come with all the pre-bowl activities either.

Went ahead and purchased 5, was told by Chick Fila that all the schools tickets were in the end zone, purchased 25 yd line tickets for same price as BC. If we don't go to Atlanta I don't think I will have any problems getting them sold.

You're right about the price breakdown. My strategy right now is to buy through StubHub immediately after we're announced.

Go to www.fansnap.com. It pulls prices from a lot of different place - StubHub, Ebay, etc. Pretty neat.<div>
</div><div>When we went to the Liberty Bowl in 2007, I bought mine on StubHub before they "officially" announced the pairings. After they announced I went back on there and looked at tickets close to where mine were. They had gone up $40.00 per ticket.</div><div>

Once the teams are announced then the prices are going to jump pretty good. You can always resell your tickets on ticketcity or stubhub or even ebay. Atlanta is most likely going to be our bowl destination regardless of the outcome of the SEC championship game. I just don't see SC or one of the other SEC West teams not being taken by the Outback bowl. The Chick Fil A wants MSU if we are available for that spot so they won't pass on us.

I would say buy your tickets NOW. I already bought some of the VIP club level tickets through the bowl. I figured if we don't go for some reason I won't have much of a problem selling them due to the fact that the game will be a hard sellout regardless of who is in the game. However, I feel pretty confident that MSU will be in Atlanta come Dec. 31st.</p>

The guy at the Chik Fil A Bowl ticket office said that the SEC side was the sideline with sections 131-140, which is also the visitor's sideline.

Lower level goal line seats are only $20-$30 more than what I'm probably going to pay to sit in the upper level endzone through the Bulldog Club, assuming I even get all the tickets I ordered.<div>
</div><div>If we're the visitors, I think our lower level endzone and sideline will consist of sections 123-140... but don't quote me on that.</div>

tells me that any bowl except NC or an extremely attractive BCS, even if a sellout, will have reasonable tix available on game day from scalpers. There are enough corporate and hospitality tix floating around that there will be many at below face. Liberty Bowl in 2007, I had a scalper chase me downtosell two for $15 each ($50 face each).
